  1. And almost all pseudoscientists don't consider it pseudoscience. Your point?
  2. What exactly is the point of this, except to create a mathematical version of Pseudoscience?
  3. And because people do things voluntarily, we can force people to do things, am I right, just like we force everyone to have sex with butch men called Steve from birmingham.
  4. It works the same as any other compression; cutting out useless bits. Basically. As for 'loss of quality' it depends what you mean; it is a sampling technique, which, by definition, can never, no matter the sampling rate, have precisely the same quality as the original. However, it's fairly easy to create compressed files which cannot be easily told from the originals.
  5. I see it as another valid medium; I don't watch them because its japanese kawaii _^_^, I watch it because it's entertaining. You may as just say that you don't like cinema, which is another heavily stylised 'group', with just as much variation.
  6. Something happened here, I'm not sure what
  7. She's currently attending Harvard, I believe, rather than already graduating. There's likely to be faked pictures of her about on the internet, although if memory serves the tabloids did have some (real) pictures of her topless on a beach shot through a long lens.
  8. Of course he faked it, he's a magician.
  9. Radical Edward pointed me here to 'deal with' Zharkov.
  10. You appear to be missing my point, which was that 'Philosophy' in its most literal sense is the required first derivative for any abstract methodology, and therefore, even if the basic historical attitudes towards the subject are decried by the popular imagination, the study itself remains just as, if not more, necessary than ever. P.S. Oh god, Ayn Rand.
  11. Except you're wrong, the 'flat earth' 'theory' was widespread in historical times; look at the 'standard' model of the heavens and the earth, with water above and below.
  12. The dubs are hideous, but the series is the best thing out there. Akira is good for the first 2/3, then goes downhill. Ranma is a one joke series (this is from someone who owns all of it on DVD). Excel Saga and Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu are funny, but you generally have to be experienced with the standard forms of anime to get much enjoyment out of them. Hellsing is fantastic (and I bought the manga yesterday). Trigun and Rurouni Kenshin are very good as well. Flames of Recca I thought was reasonable, but not great.
  13. Watch the series, it's used for the final breakup of the crew.
  14. Michelangelo died young never dedicated a sonata to that monster Bonaparte? You bet he didn't.
  15. Hawking radiation has little to do with negative energy, it's just a particle emission from a black hole, which can be explained by either quantum tunnelling or interactions between the event horizon and the quantum foam.
  16. We're talking about area here. Physics no longer assumes some concepts of Euclidian geometry, such as parallel lines.

    Photons

They don't. It's point to point speed.
  18. I'm pretty sure noone will bother.
  19. They're not a very good elite. And the grunts sound like Tweek from south park.
  20. The surface of the earth has no boundaries. How can you have an area without boundaries?
  21. Well, it's sort of the answer. It's to do with differing rotation speeds of the earth. Google for Foucault's Pendulum. No, not the book.
  22. It's a problem of expression. There isn't anything being expanded 'into', the universe is just expanding. The bad phrasing of the initial question takes us to bad places which no don't hit me no I don't want to go under the stairs again please no no no where we don't want to go.
  23. You do know what 'philosophy' is, don't you?
