  1. It's a consequence of the speed of light being the same for all observers. All the maths comes from that statement.
  2. add the velocities together, then divide them by ((the velocities multiplied together divided by the speed of light squared)+1), and you'll have how fast they move away from eachother.
  3. You're misunderstanding E=mc^2. It's an equivilancy between 'energy' and 'mass', not 'speed of light' and 'Energy and mass'. Don't use it for purposes for which it's not intended.
  4. Sum of velocities (A at a, B at b, c = speed of light in a vacuum) = (a+b)/(1+ab/c^2)
  5. (It's assumed that the amounts of C14 in each living creature as a proportion remains constant, due to the interaction with the constantly created stuff, and this level was constant for the last few thousand years)
  6. They were theorised, and they do exist. Anyone saying 'but there's no evidence for quantum theory!' is totally wrong; the pc you're working on right now uses quantum theory, we've seen the relivent particles in accelerators, and so on.
  7. Well, the forum is meant to see through proxies, but I don't think it does. It's just a numeric IP, surely a proxy would have a url thingy? 8. What has petrol got to do with anything?
  9. Well, as I said in the thread, I suspected someone with access to my account would do something more damaging. Bear in mind it's an australian IP.
  10. Personally, I wouldn't class light as a machine as it has no direct physical form.
  11. Yes, I do, at least until an admin comes online. And no, I won't go nuts. I don't want them to have anything that they can use as muck slinging.
  12. No, I'll conduct matters everywhere else with decorum and so forth, or else it's pointless.
  13. What ARE you talking about?
  14. It depends what you mean by perpetual motion, because if you count light, then (for example) an atom bomb could count as a perpetual motion device. See: Heat death of the universe.
  15. No. For a start, the protons will gradually decay.
  16. Someone's a bit sensitive.
  17. He wants to tell us lots of things. He fails.
  18. All rest frames are equally valid.
  19. The speed of light is constant relative to all observers.
  20. If you think microbes are immortal, you're wrong.
  21. I haven't had any problems, neither has anyone I know.
  22. Please make constructive posts, or not at all.
  23. The graviton is a carrier particle....... ps graviton time - (hG/c^5)^1/2 = 1.3511889(41) x 10^-43 s graviton mass - (hc/G)^1/2 = 5.4563026(39) x 10^-8 kg graviton length - (hG/c^3)^1/2 = 4.0507625(38) x 10^-35 m graviton current - e/(hG/c^5)^1/2 = 1.1857530(90) x 10^24 A graviton temperature - c2/(hG/c^3)^1/2 = 3.5518626(82) x 10^32 K graviton substance - M/(hc/G)^1/2 = 1.6605387(31) x 10^-27 kmol graviton intensity - (hG/c^5)^1/2/sr = 1.9720204(06) x 10^-45 cd .... Gravitons travel at the speed of light, (there goes mass, length and time), individual particles can't have current, massless particles can't have temperature, and I don't know what the yellow rubbery the last two are about. [edit] This is by definition of the words.
