  1. Do you mean "they're smarter" or "they act smarter"? There's a difference there.
  2. Okay. I'll play dirty, then.
  3. You might want to try harder, then.
  4. The Borg's adaptive shielding would render them immune to anything thrown at them. It would be fun to watch, though.
  5. Out of curiosity, do you think that to pwn someone, you simply have to make a post on their forum? Because you must realize, we've never banned you from here. You're free to post. Most of the time.
  6. I think the point is that if she's standing there, it can't be hot enough to melt anything. Which conveniently ignores (a) wind direction and (b) the fact that she's standing on the outside of the tower, and the fires are on the inside.
  7. Seeing as the columns there are already destroyed, I don't think it really matters how hot it is.

  15. Just don't get bogged down with too many choices. College books tend to be things like "Guide to 461 American Colleges," and half of them are small liberal arts schools in rural Ohio.
  16. Time for a new corollary to Murphy's Law.
  17. Photons do indeed have momentum. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photon
  18. Oh. I had already edited his postcount manually. vBAdvanced takes a day to update its top poster data (it's cached).
  19. vB can't handle postcounts under 0, and we deleted a thread from that person and it made their postcount negative (for some reason), and, well, integer overflow.
  20. He didn't call you a liar, he asked how something was possible. Talk about rushing to judgement.
  21. You punster you.
  22. Why? The idea that because we got into it, we have to finish it, is an application of the sunk cost fallacy. Staying and fighting only saves face. Leaving saves us money and lives.
  23. You can misspell better than that, Phi.
  24. The trouble with Venus is that its atmospheric pressure is high enough to kill someone.
