  1. Start a new thread on something else.
  2. I'm betting you could land a job as a high school teacher with only a degree in education.
  3. Yep. Use the "Report This Post" button, everybody.
  4. Recently, I (and others) have noticed that SFN is slowing down quite a bit. I've also been having problems with corrupted images - sometimes the smilies show up as something else entirely (like half of a LaTeX image) or they don't show up at all until I hit Ctrl-F5. Is there anything we can do to help this?
  5. I'd like to point out that if you have reason to believe that a member of staff is causing problems and is being mean to anybody, you should private message an administrator immediately rather than just keeping it to yourself.
  6. Environmental forces that caused natural selection.
  7. Okay, I think the question is pretty much answered now. We can stop the attacks if you'd like.
  8. I wouldn't say the TI-89 is great for ease of use, but it is great for advanced math.
  9. Are you sure that wasn't the number of threads with new posts in them?
  10. I opened this thread to ask a question, not to start a fight.
  11. This is something that's bugged me a little bit recently. We all know that according the relativity, the speed of light is constant to all observers. The question is, why light only? There certainly are other particles (most of them theoretical) that travel at the speed of light, like gravitons. Would their speed also be constant to all observers?
  12. It's just extracting water that's already there. It would have precipitated in the form of rain eventually.
  13. I did an experiment recently and found that a Dell computer was cheaper than one made of parts off of Newegg with exactly the same specs.
  14. That's all fine and good, but that's not the way the light was sent. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Michelson-morley.png http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelson-Morley_experiment
  15. The list of user titles is available here. You'll become a meson in another 37 posts. (Google can tell you what that means ) Seeing as this thread has no other purpose, I'll close it.
  16. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution
  17. It wasn't a single atom. It was an incredibly dense blob of subatomic particles.
  18. If you're going to define "reason" like that, this exercise is rather pointless.
  19. That's not what big bang theory says. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_bang
  20. The Big Bang theory, actually, leaves out the bang. It doesn't try to explain how the universe actually came to be. And you'll have to explain to us why you don't think they work. Many other people think they do work, after all.
  21. Yes, and that's much better than a fireball from the gasoline, because it tends to point straight upwards and go away from everything else. If there's a hydrogen leak, it'll just go straight up. It doesn't tend to hang around waiting for a match.
  22. Oh dear. Let's stop that and start being sane please.
  23. No, because hydrogen is lighter than air, so it would dissipate incredibly quickly.
  24. And why do I still continue to do it while not bored?
