45% of people told Gallup that God created the Earth 10,000 years ago, while 37% said that humans have developed from less advanced forms of life, but God guided the process. So evolution isn't quite dominant. That's the problem here. Nobody questions religion; they've been taught it since day 1 (most of the time) and they have never thought about it to realize the problems with accepting something without any evidence at all.

Expand on that position please, as it is purely trolling at the moment.

I think I might as well go and post this now to spark some interesting discussions. Do you, personally, believe that evolutionary theory, as well as common descent of animals and so on, will ever become widely accepted by the general public as fact (as much as religion has been accepted as "fact")? Personally, I think it's quite possible, but a long way off. We've already found the skull of yet another link in the chain of human evolution, and the evidence is mounting. Religious beliefs may be very stubborn and hard to remove, but I have a feeling that as evolution gets more and more solid evidence, and more and more solid proponents, things will start to change. In fact, I think it would be reasonable to believe that the percentage of people who believe evolution rather than divine creation is growing rapidly. When Darwin proposed evolution, almost nobody believed him, but now the theory is widely accepted by the scientific community and bits of the general public. It'll only take time before more and more of the public accepts it. And, given the spread of various religions, I think it'll be decades or even a century or two before it happens, but I think it'll happen. Thoughts?

It wasn't chance. It didn't occur randomly. The mistakes were discarded quickly and the successes were kept. And human life didn't coalesce out of the goo; simple protists formed instead, with only small bits of DNA or RNA.

Headers are the information sent to the server saying "I want x page, I can accept it via gzip, and I came from ____ to get this page" and so on. Private headers are a term used by firewalls that remove certain parts of the header such as the referrer that the firewall considers "private".

Evolution is a theory that states that animals change over time. Trolling means you are attempting to anger me to get a response.

Hey, don't flame him. The simplest thing to say is that stories don't make evidence.

What's causing the climate change?
Cap'n Refsmmat replied to herpguy's topic in Ecology and the Environment
Indeed. Cow farts provide a lot of the problem, as methane is worse than CO2. I suppose it's our fault there are so many cows. -
The connection shouldn't cause a problem in theory. You should check your cookie settings and the "Remember me" box.

Perhaps check on the vB support forums? -
It depends. If you have a decent cooling system, you should be fine. Check out the temperature of your CPU with SpeedFan and see if it's too hot. If it is, you have a problem. (Technically, your CPU is always at 100% no matter what, because the System Idle Process takes up the extra, just without something that takes much power.)

So I noticed. What is it with you and famous people I don't know? The entire physics model. Mis-quoting me like that could be interpreted as an attempt at trolling, you know.

No. Referrer is sent by your computer to tell the server where you're coming from.

I had this problem long long ago. I think it was a server-side problem. Not your fault. (Moved to Suggestions/Comments as it is appropriate there) -
It would be great if you could provide details on how to find this log and how to interpret it.

All evolution says is that allele frequency changes over time. It says nothing about cells turning into slugs. You can't prove the existence of God. You can use the fossil record to prove that animals have evolved over time. I'd suggest you don't dismiss something unless you understand it. I believe most Christians do. Erm. Vestigal organs are kept because there is little to no benefit of them going away. They will eventually, perhaps; don't assume that in this point in time, evolution has stopped and all animals are in their ultimate form. They can still get rid of those hips in a few million years, if it gives them benefits. Milken, I highly suggest you understand what you try to refute.

hal.dll is most likely the Hardware Abstraction Layer, part of the kernel that manages how to connect to different devices and cards. If that's messed up, Windows will have a hard time.

Reproduction? That's the original purpose, anyways.

Oh, I hadn't remembered that, thanks. -

Are you suggesting that you can create a gravitational field with a spinning object, or can I just not understand what you're saying at all? -
I'm not quite sure what you are asking here. The bones that we have dug up that are millions of years old are different than human bones today. The atmosphere was mostly carbon dioxide in the beginning (given off by various processes in the earth) and it was converted to have more oxygen in it by various photosynthetic bacteria. No. There are many animals that are completely blind (certain types of fish, various bats, etc) that don't need to be able to see because of their environment (too dark) and such.
