  1. It would work, you would just have to carry 50 pounds of cameras, batteries, and electronics around with you. That would be incredibly bulky. Also, it would be one-way, since people could see the cameras on one side, and you would only be "invisible" from one direction.
  2. Couldn't they be just telling us about when they were right, but actually they get spikes once every few days or whatever? It sounds like a bunch of bs to me, but that's just coming from a skeptic. If there's real proof, you can bet I'll be going over it really well.
  3. I got mine custom-made at a forum. http://forum.team17.com/showthread.php?t=11829 The forum is all about a game called "Worms," which ties in with my avatar. If you have an idea you can always use Google Image Seach, and resize it to what you need later.
  4. I had a teacher who went berserk over "reading strategies." The first day of school, she says "Let's go over the five reading strategies!" Then we get a quiz on it. A week later, "Did I tell you about reading strategies?" Another quiz. A month later, "I ought to tell you about the five reading strategies!" A quiz. Near the end of school, "Say, I forgot to tell you about the five reading strategies!" Another quiz. We had 125 quizzes in one school year.
  5. Seeing darkness is not actually "seeing," it's rather noticing that there is no light. The speed of darkness is how fast light can go away.
  6. Based on the new thread title, some moderator has a strange sense of humor. Don't you just love how many strawmans we get? I think we need to do something about it... These people need to learn about the SEARCH FUNCTION!
  7. Viruses can send emails themselves. Ask her to update her A/V and run a virus scan. That could be it.
  8. Your answer: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2689
  9. Been a bit busy lately with my own site. Also it seemed that nobody was viewing it. I may write something if you're interested.
  10. Actually, I had a loony teacher that drilled it into my head-it probably would have taken longer otherwise.
  11. http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6215 Anyways, hello, and have fun!
  12. "A woman without her, man is lost!" Although you forgot that there should have been two commas in the original.
  13. I am looking for a good, free content management system for my website. It should be PHP and MySQL based (or something compatible, whatever) and very EASY TO USE. I could find my way around one, but I may not be the only person using it. It should be suitable for posting daily news and such.
  14. Some writer needs to get an education.
  15. Scientists don't have to pay animals for their services (food and whatever only) but they'd have to pay us quite a lot to do tests on us.
  16. According to New Scientist (or one magazine like that) to replace all of the animal testing in Britain for a year would require a million human volunteers. So you'd need plenty of people willing to suffer.
  17. There isn't enough interest on SFN to warrant creating a section for sociology alone.
  18. I just hit "New Posts" every 30 seconds. (I used to have the Reload Every extension...)
  19. Because nothing squared is a negative number. So the square root of a negative number is imaginary, since it can't exist.
  20. I just read that article in the magazine itself! Pretty amazing coincidence for your professor to be in the news.
  21. ROFL! I think that will be a controversial site. Unless, of course, that was sarcasm.
  22. Your answer: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=7577
  23. The tags are [/hide] This (the puzzle) was asked before I believe.
  24. Windows 3.11?! Check and see if Linux would run on it.
  25. No, she wasn't. She was just another user who got banned temporarily.
