  1. Man, that was close. I tried that on my site but the message kept repeating, unlike I thought it would. Thank goodness for the "Javascript" checkbox in FF, or I never would have been able to fix it either.
  2. objet non identifié de vol says Babelfish translator. So: OIV or something.

  5. Wow. Through sheet metal!
  6. I have created a TI-BASIC tutorial, which is for TI-82, 83, and 84 calculators specifically. I'm not sure how the other ones work in terms of their BASIC, and I know the TI-89 BASIC is much different. Here it is: http://s8.invisionfree.com/ComputerGeek/index.php?showtopic=44
  7. It's a background process. You don't need to leave it "open." Also it only occaissonaly accesses the internet, to get work and to report the results. With the nature of the work it takes hours to finish, so you won't be finding it accessing very often.
  8. Wouldn't it be very hard for a hollow planet to form? Given that most form by big chunks of rocks clumping, growing... etc, how could it be hollow?
  9. Maybe we should take a poll on this...
  10. They are not self-aware. They only do what they are programmed. To make them "learn," use the new knowledge, and test new ideas without just randomly coming up with things to do would be near-impossible.
  11. On-site is much more convenient, and also it could be updated with scientific word dictionaries and stuff - just to make it even more useful.
  12. The brain scan thingy apparently can tell with much greater accuracy when they are attempting to be deceptive. There's a section of the brain that "lights up" when they're lying.
  13. Wow. How powerful do you think it is? Better than a plain old bow?
  14. Would they know morse code?
  15. I'd like it, as long as there was an option to disable it temporarily. I see several people who consistently post with poor grammar and spelling; while I can understand if you're not a native English speaker, these people just do it out of habit. That looks bad. Plus sometimes I keep thinking, Is that spelled right?
  16. Why am I the ONLY person on the team?
  17. If only I could put a "Get Firefox" icon in my signature... sillly thing won't display sig images.
  18. In an aluminum foil raft made out of 1 square foot of aluminum foil, 272. That was my raft.
  19. Probably since they're on the same server, different domain names.

  21. Move it again and measure the acceleration and the force. With a known mass of the box, you would be able to determine (with F=ma) the mass of the object inside and tell that it existed.
  22. The thing is, lie detector operators don't say "Did you murder him?" They first ask simple questions to see what the person does when they lie ("Have you ever stolen?" is a good one because practically nobody hasn't) and then they ask questions like "Do you know this person?" But the thing is, some people may not believe they broke the law because they think the murder was justified. Or, alternately, they may not remember the whole thing because they were on drugs. The only reliable lie detector in my opinion is the brain scan. Of course, that's way more expensive.
  23. Jasc animation shop. It's a 30 day trial I think, but you can just set your clock back...
  24. Hmmm... you need the Java extension of course, which I bet you could find at http://java.sun.com http://java.com/en/download/windows_xpi.jsp
