  1. Unless you suddenly created a cloud of gas, from, say, an explosion, and that carried the sound. It would carry it only a short distance, though, because it would quickly dissapate to the point where you can't hear it.
  2. By removing those who can distribute drugs, and thus ruin others' lives.
  3. I added mine to the CRINGEMAKER thread.
  4. http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2508
  5. Wait, that's not snow. Certainly doesn't look like it.
  6. You sure it's snow? Or maybe just something shiny?
  7. I never saw a fountain in your pictures. Sorry, you lose. NEXT!
  8. I still don't see anything in it. Except maybe your ridiculous single brain cell.
  9. That and your signature make an interesting combination.
  10. Grrrrrr... IT'S SMALLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ah, well, I really don't care. It's stupid anyways.
  11. I have heard about people holding their breath for 8 minutes, while I can only manage 2 (about), and only by hyperventilating. I'd like to know how to train myself to do that, and how the heck you can hold for 8 minutes. Oh, and one other question: For the people that live in low-oxygen environments, wouldn't their adaption to using less oxygen make it easier to hold their breath at sea level?
  12. Well, first you need to get a transmogrifier to turn in to James Bond, and then you can do it. Where would you get enough lead to make a house like he said?
  13. Yeah, I googled it, and now it looks a lot less potent then what I originally thought. I suppose I shouldn't listen to my classmates...
  14. Why not just go to NORAD? They have hundreds of feet of granite instead, with shock absorbers in the floors and Faraday cages in the walls to protect against an electromagnetic pulse.
  15. Can't you use a bigger picture?
  16. I read somewhere else that the strength will stay about the same during the flip, meaning we won't all die. It'll still be there to protect us, just like Allstate.
  17. Supposedly the chemical name for a strand of DNA (every single chromosome and so on) is over a trillion letters.
  18. In my opinion, sodium pentothal is a perfectly good thing to use. No pain, all the information.
  19. Unlike the last thread about this, I'd like to discuss just how possible the theories are. Here are some links: A google search (the result first is the best) Another google search
  20. 1:Thanks! 2: Nope, someone else around here. 3: I'll ask.
  21. It flips GRADUALLY! Do a search around here, there's plenty of threads about it.
  22. And I thought pneumonoultramicroscopisicovolcanoconiosis was big.
  23. To be entirely sure, I'm running one of the programs that got terminated in the middle while scanning, to see if it'll happen again.
  24. I checked the Symantec website and found a virus matching my description, so I followed their instructions by booting in safe mode and then running a scan. After withstanding two hours of 60 hertz (only) torture it found a virus in System 32, and fixed it. I'm fine now, except that Task Manager is still messed up. Oh well.
