Its about time they brought back hangings!

I'll equalized the situation here. *clears throat* Don't do drugs! Yup, you can thank me later.

- Don't piss off people with shirts that read "Gun don't kill people, I do". - Don't purposely take women lightly in a martial arts tournaments, they will take advantage of you the minute you do. Losing is bad enough, you don't want to be icing down your special region of your body as well. (grrr, I would of got first too)

Don't worry, realistically not many people really know each other at all, just voices with no connection. It's kinda psychotic when you think about it, I mean really, who are these people?

It's because the bracket is included in the link so it redirect to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gochujang) but it's actually here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gochujang

Bami Goreng ( Dutch-Indonesian Stir Fried Noodles) http://www.recipezaar.com/110266 Oh it's will probably be the best thing you have ever tasted. I'll try and get my fathers original recipe, since his mother lived in Indonesia for a while. My god it's gooddd... Some ingredients are dutch, so if you have a dutch store nearby, that's a good thing. (i.e. kroepoek-Crook P(b'ish)ook), a secert is to get sliced ham 1/4 to 1/2 inch and mix it in cold after done cook, like a topping. I warn you it takes a while to make. 6-8 hours (less if you force your kids to help. My father used the excuse of "teaching" me how to cook, you can use that one too.)

Personally not knowing the intentions of MJF, I can't say the comment wasn't out of line. I just can't imaging someone taking their own sickness so lightly. I am sure there was political aspect to it, but I can understand why he would. He wants people to take it seriously, shock does work well for that, if there was a better way to do it, I am sure he would, but looking at his position and power in society, it becomes hard not to do it. For one his life span isn't that long like most humans, and he is a great voice for others who have the sickness. If he has to go to such lengths to get people to listen, how hard will it be for others to voice their concerns. I can't imagine it being easy to show the world this side of it, but he is an actor, so...I am not totally ruling it out.

Ha! the ottawa citizen. Why is that guy applying the laws of physics to the non-physical entities such as ghosts? Regardless, someone has too much time on their hands.

God I hate that phrase! >

You can make themes and such, it's been such a long time since I've fiddled with this forum stuff, but you know the best way to do it in most forums was to have an open contest for things such as themes and banners. Winners get their work put up under the circumstance that it meets the criteria of the forum owners. Although this is alot easier if you had a graphics section to the forum, they (GFX'er) love that stuff, I use to be one of those people that made stuff like that all the time, foolin with photoshop and the likes.

I think an atheist at some level believes religion is bad, and religious people believe that atheism is bad at some level. From a belief point of view, it's kinda of envitable. One must think that their belief (or lack of) is good (right), and therefore can't possibly believe the practically opposite is as good. I haven't met a person that I've completely agree with, and in essense would believe it's a bad point of view. There are varying degrees of bad though, alot too trivial to even concern oneself with. For example, I am not much for complete freedom of speech, some people will say whatever is on their mind, which is fine unless it crosses the line based on my beliefs. As far as religion I might find that the lack of freedom within it is bad, but that most of the morals they hold are good. Same for me, People of faith might find my lack of devotion to "whomever" is a bad thing...and so on. If you accept the fact that people are different, and you want to live peacifully with others regardless of belief then you have to add tolerance to that line, and the only way I can see a person, belief, system, etc being really bad is when the net outcome from that is swaying to the more bad side. Fundementally I think most of those are good.

I pretty much agree. Nicely said.

I think it wasn't a proper comment, but MJF is not made of paper, I think he has more things to worry about then what some guy said about him.

IMM You should write a book on animal rights, you have enough material from this forum alone, maybe even in that last post...Kinda scary. I am just going to flip a coin it see if I agree with you or not...heads I agree, Tails I disagree.......tails. Crap fine...I have a questions then. What characterisitics of a nervous system give legitimate superiority over other entities in our existence? If we are talking consistency here. I'd just like to know why the consistency stops at "feelers". Also if we didn't hold ourselves as more valuable (Assume damn it!) then "X" yet we still continued our "killing/torturing" (/opera voice - consistency!) would that be ok? If we tested on humans and animals. Then it becomes more a question of if these actions are wrong, even though they have benefits. Like if we use one rabbit to save thousands of rabbits, and we use one human to save thousands of humans, wouldn't that be ok? Individuality would get in the way I guess...

I would have to side with Paranoia on this one. Let nature take it's course on this one. There a difference between Deadly poisons and unhealthy elements. Not saying that the government should leave everything unregulated but I think due dilligence is good enough. Warning the public about the affects of certian fat food is enough. I smoke, I know it's unhealth but I like it, I think it should be my choice whether I should be allowed to or not. I also understand my choices affect others so in that case I think it's reasonable for the government to ban smoking in all public buildings and outside areas near entrances. People shouldn't be subjected to my habit. I also don't think Marijuana should be illegal either, maybe banned from public places and have regulation on it. I do see a problem with that though. Can you decisively draw a line what is acceptable unhealthy elements, and what items are. Most of the limitations are socially made, like alcohol, but then why not LSD, or Magic Mushrooms, or cola, chips, french fries. To many all those things can be good or bad to both extremes, and everything in between. I do think it's possible to keep freedom, but realistically regulate and control. It's just takes some rational people and time, something most governing agency don't have (zing!). I think the main concern is that as we advance we will find more things to ban, and limit, till we sufficate ourselves with it, and the value of being health starts to trumph freedom. When that happens the question becomes, is really worth living a life that so limited just to gain x amount of extra years. It's like buying a expensive product that gives you joy, if you never use it, it's less likely to break, but if you never use it, you never get the joy out of it either.

Well it also depends on which species is smarter. If they were smarter than us, they may not "just land" on the planet. I'd be skeptical about the aggressiveness of another planets species, assuming they have such characteristics...well yeah asssuming pretty much that they are similar to us, just smarter. You'd need some pretty damn good evidence like what YT suggested in a comical way.

Don't you think thats a bit harsh?

I think he meant "aliens".

I did for after work-outs but it was never a replacement for anything, just like an added snack. I am not a chemist or a biologist so don't really take my advice on that one. Personally I just figured at the time I would just add alittle more then what I usually ate to my diet, mostly protein, whether that's proper or not, you'd have to ask someone else. I really didn't feel like being so precise on my diet, it wasn't worth the hassle, as long as I was getting the basic needs which is fine. It may sound dumb, but may have check up with the doctors before you start, and tell them that you plan to do some weight-lighting, they can advise you how to go about it, as well as have check up once and a while to see if everything is working out (no pun intended)...If you really want to have a perfect method. p.s. Waking up in the morning after your first weight-lifting workout(asssuming it's your first time) will be fun!

If we had slow adrenaline, God (Creator, Evolution, whatever) is a real comedian.

I don't know if this is the right section for this...I apologize if it's wrong. Nova: Magnetic Storm http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/magnetic/ Transcript http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/transcripts/3016_magnetic.html "There's a region of our planet that no human being has ever visited. No one has ever seen this place, yet what happens here affects every one of us every day of our lives. It's 2,000 miles beneath our feet, the Earth's molten core. Here a vast ocean of liquid iron generates an invisible force, the Earth's magnetic field. It's what makes our compasses point north. But it does a lot more: it helps to keep the Earth a living planet. Our neighbors, Venus and Mars, have only weak magnetic fields, which means they're unprotected from the deadly radiation sweeping through the solar system. The Earth, on the other hand, exists within a vast magnetic cocoon, a force-field that for billions of years has sheltered us on our journey through space. But now scientists have made a startling discovery. It seems there's a storm brewing deep within the Earth, a storm that is weakening our vital magnetic shield." Did anyone watch this? Is this possible? I just watched it, and it's the first time really hearing about it except for a SciAm mag.

Yeah...well I guess the "something had to be done" insinuates war, I meant it as like even spending more of defensives measure to ensure stability. Basically a reaction was inevitable from a political stance in my view (I am not a very political guy though). I highly doubt the government would just ignore it.

I don't know if this is a valid point but the medication could have some side effects...If he does it for all live appearance, it might be the case... http://www.pdf.org/AboutPD/med_treatment.cfm http://www.michaeljfox.org/parkinsons/index.php#4 Alot of the side effects included dizziness, confusion, hallucinations, etc.
