  1. I see, I knew most of that, but some I didn't so thanks. I guess I mean more like; at a specific time in the past (very early) did...say the tau only exists, then later on it lost energy and the muon was created, and so forth? or were they all created at the same time and you only see them at high energy collisions?(If thats the right terminology...) or shorter is the term generation used literially? I guess I should think more in terms of different energy levels and spins, instead of names making me think they have more then just that, that makes them unique.
  2. I strongly agree. People associate themselves with different types of people. I may have friends who have the ability to change because I can, or hold that ability as an important factor. People who can not like that are not attractive in that sense. So really, a person could go through their whole life not finding anyone who has the ability to change, or the opposite find all sorts of people that can. Personally I've had and seen both.
  3. From what I've read it seem to say that Lepton; Electron, Muon, Tau, with their respective neutrinos, and quarks: Up, Down, Top, Bottom, Charmed, Strange....*takes breath* all are split up into different generations. So my question, does that mean that they actually were created in different generations or is that just a way to express them? I know higher generations decay into smaller ones, so is that a discrete value at which they start to decay? Maybe just an example of how one changes to another and why, would help me out now.
  4. Amen! I guess I should of said, it was a poor excuse. I've done alot of things as a teenager but they were always in control. Some people don't care, they just do whatever they want untill something happens, thats when they use that excuse to justify their actions, and that to me is irrelavent. Self-control in all respects needs to be fine-tuned in our societies/relationships/etc. Have all the freedom you want but make sure it doesnt affect others.
  5. Enabler if your weak-minded. The lack of self-control in society these days pisses me off so much. Alcohol is not an excuse.
  6. Obiviously, thats why it's called advice, you can use it or not...
  7. To Martin: Nice job lol. I am horrible with words, I can write something down, come back 5 minutes later and realize that it's not exactly what I meant, and I don't know why. I think it's condensing thoughts into words while thinking of it at the same time and leaving out parts. Thanks though.
  8. Let's say you give it a chance and you want a faithiful relationship. I'd advise to clearly state your stance to her on what's going to happen in the future (i.e. This won't happen again). If she does not have the ability to control herself when she is drunk (as stated) then you might want to clearly state that she should not drink anymore, not drinking will show commitment and trust. If she can't do that or doesn't agree I wouldn't pursue a relationship. Even if she does agree, but doesn't follow true to the agreement (which is a possibility) then I wouldn't invest yourself in the relationship untill you feel she has proven that she is willing to hold her weight in the relationship, but at the sametime before you decide when to accept her back you have to make sure that you can at one point forgive and trust. Whether or not she finds it fair is irrelavant. It wasn't fair for you to be faithiful and for her to be not....unless there is something else you are not telling but, the way I see it, it's the only way to keep the relationship alive. That's how I would approach it anyway.
  9. I am not perfect, so I can't possibly say what is, because there is always a chance that there is something beyond it. For all I know tommorrow the law of physics could change, or we could find a repeating pattern in Pi. Religion in my view is just one way of dealing with uncertianity.
  10. Aluminum foil?!?1? that's rediculous. No, the UV beam will be amplied by Gold. So buy gold or the universe wins.
  11. Tripped and fell....I really don't know. It just seems crazy too me. Giving a stupid excuse would anger me more, I mean you don't murder your girlfriends family and say "I was drunk, sorry!". I don't care how drunk you are, there is a definitive line that you don't cross, and I've been really drunk before!
  12. I wouldn't forgive it at all. Why do people give such lenience these days in this matter. The "it was an accident" crap or "I was drunk" crap doesn't really excuse it....but if you do accept it, you shouldn't hold it over her.
  13. The comments on Amazon are kind of interesting
  14. I know in instrumentation they have a wide variety of ultrasonic detectors. The range is usually limited to a pipe or something like that. If someone really wanted to, I believe they can make it.
  15. Well I think the biggest problem is trying to defend people who act in this manner. These people hurt those organisation by affliating their actions with that organisation. I really don't think anyone here has a problem with groups trying to save animals, it's the method of how they do it which doesn't make them any better then the companies and establishments that are hurting them in the first place. To me it boils down to self-interest for both sides. The ones at PETA/ ALF/etc, that work in a rational way are having their efforts wasted promoting an animal friendly society when these actions take place. Alot of people think that because someone doesnt act instantly they are ignoring it. It's just a way to justify their inability to control their emotions. Sure they may save 10,000 fish or so that day but you also have 100,000 people looking at this and competely ensure that these people are loony and feel no real obligation to help out in anyway (I think this thread proves that). In the end and long term goal is to get a society that understands the impact of animal cruelty.
  16. I personally didn't like it because I am use to this format. So I found myself clicking the index button alot. I am not picky though so really I am more indifferent about it, it doesn't really matter ultimately. It was only one more click so...only in light of the vote I chose no.
  17. It wrong but you can be far more sympathic towards the cause. Similar to if someone killed a relative that you are close to and you beat the crap out of them. It's obviously not right in any sense, but you can feel some sort of sympathy right? The acts are based on a extreme view though. As much as you can sympathize with the idea, there is a fine line between terrorism, and acts of rebellion for a better way. There are situations in history that humans have, even in really bad situations used non-violent approaches. It's alot harder too do since you have to constantly channel your anger while these injustices are going on, so it's probably not a common act, we are after all just animals.
  18. Does this involve a circus of any kind?
  19. For me the art is ok, it's more of the story and culture that I prefer. I can't stand dubbed versions of anime, most of them destroy all the culture and feel to the movie or series. Also I don't like all anime, I like mostly ones that deal with combat. I like darker anime like Berserk *points to Avatar and Signature* and the OVA of kenshin. Others like DBZ is more for corny thrills and cool affects, like a Martial Arts film. Bleach started off great but then it turned into a DBZ style series sadly.

    Telekinesis

Oh but what if half the force was used to balance out the negative side effect of brain crushing? Me so smart. If I could have any power it would be this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKuHAL_P7iY&search=Gohan%20Cell%20Bojack%20Super%20Buu

    Dreams

That the freakiest dream I've ever heard. Creative horror can be inspired by movies, but this...this takes on a whole new form of weirdness.

    Stress Relief

At work I can get alot of stress out. Lifting lots of metal when people aren't looking (can only lift like 50kg or 50 ibs legally ). Then there is the sledge hammer hehe. Safety glass that I can break with my insane karate punch... wootah! Come to think about it I've been relatively relaxed lately, it's quite nice. At home shadow punching and kicking, and push ups and sit ups and not using the elevator. I'd go back to weightlifting but I'll wait and use my schools gym when I am finish my internship. That's the ULTIMATE stress relief. Work-out for like 30 - 60 mins a day mininium, make sure your good and sore, then take a warm bath...so good. p.s. Taking baths are manly! >
  24. I only drink alcohol in terms of shots, so it becomes very redundant to either way for me. I can't sip it or take little bits, it's just annoying.
