What about: scienceforums.net/theology scienceforums.net/philsophy Seems like the server could take it, might be cheaper, or do you have to pay for each vbb board that you create? Anyway that way you can keep the idea that the base of the users have scientific background yet clearly express that the topics are not AND you get to keep the consistency of the name. It might even add to the ranking system of google too... That's how I would do it, I just don't know if it's practical. Practicality isn't my strength though, nor logic, being reasonable, or just plain intellegent.

I don't understand this situation at all. The pope was quoting some guy linking violence to Islam, now some people are burning churches? "We are not violent!" *burns down church* Odd way to disprove it.

This is mostly short-term based right? Your not going to give someone who flames constantly (minus the 3 day vacations) infinite chances right?

I would like to see human testing being done more...maybe on untreatable/reoffending criminals. Personally I am not against it but I think if we gain the benefits we should be part of the negative aspects as well.

I walked into a pole once, after that I always looked forward when talking to someone. One time I tried to replace a toilet seat but the bolts were rusted shut to the nut. For some reason I thought a hammer would do the trick, just tap it alittle to try and loosen the connection...hit it a little too hard broke a large chunk off...well it needed replacing anyway...I think I was just frustrated and resorted to primative smashing.

I don't know who said this but: I think it's mostly to do with getting in touch with the primative animal-like nature of humans, and to be ok with it....in a very wierd way.

no I actually would enjoy it. I can't remember how old I actually was when it happened, I just know I went to a hospitial to do tests on me, Somewhere around...12 - 14 years old. It was very odd. In any other mental state it would be down right scary. I know the difference between making up voice consciously and not, so when I started to hear them it was probably around the time I maxed my mental "state". I guess I was borderline crazy lol. They were very deep voices, like the standard used for God in most older films. Atleast 8 different ones. They even had faces, VERY much like Severian avatar. They would phase in and out as they spoke, all black and white. I am very bad at decisions, especially when I was younger, all I could see was that any decision I made was going to be wrong, so with the state I was in I guess it was the only logical way to continue, have someone else decide for me. I never acted on any of the bad ones, but in an odd way, it was very dark, but very comforting at the same time. After about 2 weeks or a month of seeing the hospitial it went away. All I remember is telling the person (who I can give a face too anymore) was that "They protect me". Cool huh? I know it sounds totally rediculous but I would not lie about it.

I have a habit of changing my Avatar every once and a while..I can't look at the same thing all the time, bores the hell out of me.

That's what basically interested me in Wing Chun, the close combat. Tie that in with Sambo which has a 3 different types within. Problem is I'm 230ibs so I didn't think I was designed well for Wing Chun.

His lunging punches lol. Sambo has everything I want to learn with grappling and stuff so.

Since I have an obsession with Combat, mostly unarmed I was wondering if anyone here also has the same interest. If you've taken martial arts or whatever I'd be very interested in hearing about it. If you dislike it you can talk about it tooo...I guesss... I want to keep this a general thread, but if you need direction, I will rephrase it later.

One of the first episodes I saw was the greatest TV moment in my life. He was perched over this venomous snake talking about how deadly a bite was from one of these snakes. Like 30 secs after all you see is the snake go up and bite him in the hand. His face was so priceless, he runs to his book to check how serious it was, then the credit role with a helicopter lifting him and taking him to the hospital. I laughed so hard. Since then I had respect for the guy.

Are they done with complete strangers? You could subconscious record phone habits of people you know then when that becomes irregular you're alerted in some form...Add in the fact that the other person has that happen to him/her as well, that would increase your chances of subconscious guessing when someone will call.

That's ok, I plan to live for atleast 50 years more, I'll get bored eventually and read alot of books (when I become 25 maybe).

I guess I arbitrarily put the two together. I often do that. I think I get the basic concept of Natural Selection though. I will try to find some books on it, in the future I hope to slowly gather a nice private collection of beautiful science books from all fields *dreams*. and... Thanks Skye, I will have to read that over...a few hundred times to get it. *btw* my multi-colour flag is a parady of another thread, it means I am a highly confused individual (not the other meaning lol, I take chances..) , so in the future you guys know I am not going to make much sense. I've been trying though, I know it must be frustrating to read my posts. Also thanks to everyone who helped out!
