Actually there is no Redox reaction takes place !!! So : 1) 2 Al 3+ + 3 CO3 2- -----> Al2(CO3)3 ( white ppt ) 2) CO3 2- + 2H+ -----> CO2 (effervesence ) + H2O

Is the same , this is why ionic equation can't show which reactants come First !! But i doubt there is reaction in the equation u mentioned

There is a decrease in cohesive force between water molecules !! when soap dissolve in water , water molecules form hydrogen bonds with the soap molecules .. As a result there is less hydrogen bond formed between water molecules !! Hence the cohesive forces between molecules decreased !!

Is a future cure !! Guys , wat do you all think

ester undergoes reduction .. but does not yield carboxylic acid and alcohol !!! It yields 2 alcohols only !! To get carboxylic acid and alcohol from ester , u can undergo the reverse reaction of esterification !!!
-
If im not wrong ester can't undergo reduction !!! C7H12 ???? what is that ?? theres no such hydrocarbon !! it cant be a aliphatic nor a aromatic cpd !!

the most obvious different is the sample . In Amniocentesis , the sample is the amniotic fluid containing sheded skin of the fetus . So the target is the DNA in the sheded skin cell . However the fetus shed its 1st skin after 2 - 3 months after fertilisation . In chronic villus biopsy , the target is the chorionic cells which have the same genome with the fetus . The chorion develops just after the implantation . In conclusion , The biggest difference is : The fetus's genome can be determine earlier by using chronic villus biopsy.

Fractional Distillation : separation of mixtures
chuinhen replied to jmarjorie's topic in Organic Chemistry
Im not in GCSE !! but in STPM (K-12 education in Malaysia ) Heard of it ??? -
This will also go against the Hardy Weinberg LAW !!! However , for your information !! Inbreeding can ensure successful in some organism !! a good example is Beta fishes People who breed betas will know this . They are encourage the breed True so that the pure line is maintain !

Fractional Distillation : separation of mixtures
chuinhen replied to jmarjorie's topic in Organic Chemistry
1st , u need to know the mixture produced is deviate positively or negatively from Raoult;s Law !!! A positive deviate mixture forms when 2 mixture yields a product which has lower intramollecular bond in distillation Distiilate : azeotropic mixture residue : Pure liquid (higher boiling pt) A negatively deviate mixture forms when 2 mixture yields a product which has stronger intramollecular bonds !!! in distillation Distillate: Pure liquid ( lower boiling pt) Residue : azeotrpic mixture -
In my findings : Cardiomyopathy : CoQ10 300-500mg Lowering homocystein : B12 50-150mcg B6 25-50 mg Cataract : Bcarotene 15000 IU Cancer : CoQ10 600 mg Grape seed extract 300 mg Parkinson's disease : Vit E 200 IU Ginkgo 30 mg grapeseed extract Autoimmune disease : Grapeseed extract Omega 3 Diabetes : Can anyone place their suggestion or alternation for the above list ??

Cn(H20)n-1 is better for disacharides and polysaccharides

AgSCN -----> Ag+ + SCN- Ksp = [Ag+][sCN-] but , i think theres not enough information to proceed !!! is there any molar solubility given ???

Recently Im doing a research in this topic !! Anyone likes to share ideas with me ?? 1)Cardiomyopathy 2)lowering in homocystein 3)cataract & macular degeneration 3)Cancer 4)Arthritis & Osteoporosis 5)Parkinson & Alzheimer's disease 6)Autoimmune disease 7)Diabetes Im collecting information for : @ The type(s) of antioxidants used to cure/prevent disease stated above @ The amount/dos/ required @ Function @ other relevant information !!

solution ?? Is it water or other liquids ?? If it is water .. the intermolecular forces are hydrogen bonds!!

Furthermore the structure of the CO2 is not suitable to bind with haemoglobin

I think halogens are ideal . U can extract chlorine (yellow) from CLOROX U can heat iodine salt or solution Or u can heat nitrate salts to produce NO2 (brown)

i think i have a better explanation : Straight chain molecule has a elongate shape whereas brached chain has a slightly spherical shape . electrons in the straight chain is more disperse whereas in branched chain the electrons are packed more compactly . HENCE , the electron cloud of strainght chain is easy to be distorted .That is more polarisable . Thus straight chain is more polar compared to brabched chain . In addition . the surface of contatct between straight chain molecules is larger compared to spherical shaped branched chain . Hence the Van der Waals force between staight chain molecules is stronger then that between branched molecule !!! As a result , the boiling point of the straight chain isomer is higher than the boiling point of the Branched chain isomer

reaction of t-butyl alcohol with chromic acid
chuinhen replied to sheanhung's topic in Organic Chemistry
Are u sure ur t-butyl alcohol is pure ?? Or maybe your Chromic acid is not pure ?? -
No .. At least u must warm it when using acidified KMnO4 and u must reflux or heat it when using alkaline KMnO4 .. If no heat is provide the reaction will take place in a very very slow rate or mayb no reaction occurs . Or u will get a intermediate product .. that is Ethanal .. if u distillate it .

CO2 is mainly transported in the form of H+ HCO3- in the erythrocyte . Thanks to the help of Carbonic anhydrase . However , I'm confused with the role of these enzyme . this enzyme catalyses which reaction ?? 1) CO2 + H2O -----> H2CO3 OR 2)H2CO3 ------> H+ + CO3- For our Information : The Book written by Campbell , Reece and Mitchell published by Benjamin Cummings stated no.2 The book written by Greece and Stout published by Cambridge staed no.1

after glycolysis the net ATP u obtained is 2 molecules after the whole aerobic respiration : Glycolysis : 2 ATP 2 NADH Link reaction : 0 ATP 2 NADH Krebs cycle : 2 GTP 6 NADH 2FADH2 1 NADH contributes 3 ATP energy in the Electron transport chain 1 FADH2 contribute 2 ATP energy in the electron transport chain thus , total ATP molecule 4 + (10 X 3) + (2 X 2) = 38 ATP molecules

It depends on each individual . That is the concentration of each hormone that involve in the mestruation . Ovulation is promoted by Luteinising hormone (LH) . LH secretion in anterior pituitary gland is promoted by high levels of oestrogen . Oestrogen secretion is carried out by Follicles in the Ovary . Lastly , Follicle stimulate hormone is the hormone that stimulates the follicle to release oestrogen. THUS , the whole process is chain reaction . Factor like stress can alters the amount of secretion and hence disturbed the whole cycle .

to act as a reducing agent , it must be oxidised not reduced !!

Enzymes are specific that is they react with certain pH , certain substrate . Thus we can manipulate the above variables to test the enzyme . FOR EXAMPLE ( CONSTANT TEMPERATURE , pH) we have enzyme a , b , c to test . 1)we add 5cm egg slice into ezyme a , b , c in different beakers with equal volume . 2)After 30 mins . measure the length of each egg slices . Protease digest the protein content in the egg , thus the beaker which has shorter egg slices contains Protease .
