He's probably talking about genetic populations. When a population of people are distant from other populations, then both populations can't spread their genetic code around with each other. With a population isolated in space, the alleles (genetic code/genes) in the population could change, mutate, or etc. over a period of time. This would lead to an eventual change in the human genome and perhaps create a different species. From what I'm reading on the board, however, it looks like people say gamma rays or some other space radiation can change the genome to create a new species within a population.

It's a word right? I don't seem to find anything relating to it on google right away. Hmm. Am I the only one that knows of this term?

What is this recent crap on the boards with space travel??? Did someone bust out a new hypothesis, and did people start accepting it? I understand the idea of allopatric speciation, but where is this space stuff coming from? Did someone come up with an evolutionary theory based on space travel?

Automatically find it? Are you saying most browsers look through the root director to find this file, in other words, I don't have put it on an individual page?

Depends on social skills. heh.

After talking to a psychology professor, I've learned a few things: 1. Many people going into neuroscience are getting their M.D. in neurosurgery first. 2. A person can go without the M.D., but he or she will be limited to sawing off the skull of an animal. I believe people are doing surgeon first is because it's a more secure job market; however, malpractice is annoying a lot of people, and it also discourages people from becoming neurosurgeons. Perhaps they like the idea of being able to do real-life research on people, in some foreign country, which may be illegal or legal..... With research done in DNA, a person can manipulate a gene that effects an animal, say it enhances cognitive thinking, and he or she can implant that into a different animal. I believe that is what was done with the doogie mice. It seemed to have turned out very well. However, I'm sure some scientists are skeptical as to the reliability to transfer such information to the human brain. This may be why some scientists want to play around with the human brain and actually take a physical look at it. Ethical issues surround all things when it comes to neuroscience. Flowers for algernon personify that. But, no, you don't need an M.D. to be a neurochemist. It seems many top-notch people in brain research have an M.D., however.

The development and advancement of language. Despite scientific thought, I've always had a conspiracy theory as to why humans were evolved past other animals. Why was it in the past few hundred years that humans made some of the most advanced things? Humans have been around longer than thousands of years; yet a sudden explosion of intellect came about. I've always thought something higher was at play. Perhaps humans have the ability to exponentially gain new skills.

The Making Of A Hallucinogenic Drink (community experiment)
Genecks replied to Sir Ask Alot's topic in Medical Science
Isn't nutmeg a hallucinogen at HIGH doses? http://www.yale.edu/yfp/archives/93_5_bake.html As with any drug or potent mixture, things can take a turn for the worst. Just because you're on LSD, that does not mean you won't jump out of a window. -
It's time to stop killing meat and start growing it

Spirutein and many other health food products are an example of a meat-free world. There is truth that something must be killed or something's potential to live must be destroyed or altered in able to create a food product from it. Synthetic foods are a great advancement, but such things will cost more money than most people will pay. Food items from health food stores and gyms are a great example of products that weren't necessarily killed. A few items are synthetic. However, many people will continue to add egg products to their meal in order to increase protein intake. Protein intake worries weightlifters, body builders, fitness trainers, and even vegetarians. The hard part is finding a way to create protein-rich foods without destroying taste and not creating a high price index. Many people worry about being out of a job due to food changes within the economy; however, these changes are simply moving with the times and called progress. It's like the idea of McDonald's replacing its workers with machines: people will have to become engineers to fix the machines. Instead of cashier, you will have engineer. Chemical and biological engineer instead of farmer. -
Turn it into a career. Analyze the plot, characters, design, script, etc. Become a producer. I know how to make a better web layout than most people who make large amounts of money. I've seen professors at my college teach web development, and all I can do is laugh at their weak attempts to create a beautiful website. It seems many forgot the basic concepts of web development. People have little understanding of the word "eyecandy". The simple and basic design of a webpage is the best design. Easy to navigate and understand are the key concepts I keep in mind. The television industry needs better shows, thespians, and realism. There's a current scare among the media because of the online media that is being created. People are becoming their own entertainers on the web. I believe Entertainment magazine showed this scare in an article.

When I bookmark a website in Mozilla Firefox, I notice there is a small icon (avatar?) logo next to the name. The areas of concern are circled in red. How could I obtain the same result with my website when someone bookmarks it?

I believe the term for such a computer disorder would be called infomania. However, I'm not sure. Or reformat. Or live-dvd knoppix.

Anyone ever watch that episode of Batman cartoon long ago? There was a villian that used a type of film with a process of light that allowed him to become invissible. This was the Batman from the late 90's it was on fox and then on cartoon network. The oddity is that this same process is being used, kinda. Did the cartoon have the theoretical aspects figured out before people put their ideas out for publishment?

You could still tab through a few books and solve some problems. You don't have to read through them. The problem you gave seems like introductory algebra, but I can not remember what type of problem it relates to. The reason I gave you the advice was because I took a placement exam. My performance was not good. I didn't collect books, tabbing through them, practicing for it. I was kicked down to a lower math course. Update Edit: There it is: - http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Algebra/Quadratic_functions#Completing_the_Square People typically don't use "a" and "b" integers; most use "a" and "x" integers.
