  1. Can anyone tell me other chiral forms/optical isomers of methylphenidate (Ritalin), and there effects as to the drug it's self?
  2. just btw, you want to use Sulfuric acid as your electrolyte, for it doesn't take part in the reaction (like salts) Graphite is a good electrode Distilled water has less crap in it (just saying) If you separate the anode and cathode so the gas collects in different containers, then you get each gas in its pure form (however I wouldn't suggest breathing either of them!!!)
  3. wight was never dependent on surface area. Look at Venus, it is smaller then earth, but gravity is MUCH greater... The only force I know of that is dependent on surface area would be wind resistance. Even capacitance has its acceptions The idea that photons are mass-less cannot be proven, but we can limit the maximum mass. I refuse to believe photons are mass-less. I am happy to believe in something with no mass, but not photons, it just dosn't make sense when you learn about REAL sub atomics.
  4. you can make a force field (or dampener) with a strong enough positive or negative electric field. (also if the object was metal would help)
  5. I'm going to have to disagree with every single point in the original post. Neglecting the science behind anything just because of those things, is rather silly... Yes people can still make MASSIVE discoveries alone, and come up with very analytical and complex understandings of what ever it is they're working on. Also, some people don't tell their peers everything because people like to steal idea. Thirdly, there are powerful people suppressing science. Science is still VERY censored today. There ARE natural things that occur in the treatment of things such as cancer, that science can't explain. If science could explain everything... Then it would stop. Look a broccoli, I could have told you that it helps prevent and cure cancer to some degree when I was a child, it's only recently science has been able to prove that it dose, now they are researching the function. Lastly, when someone takes something to the media before running over real scientists, who are these "real scientists". I'm sure the people in the team don't feel the need to be explaining how there new idea works to people they don't know. Lastly, media exposure could be because people get impatient and want to see the technology grow... I could go on.
  6. Hay guys, I'm Hayden, I came here because I want to start a lab next year, and I think this could help... I'm always aiming for things over my head, and haven't backed down yet... I think science is essential in this world, and that among a community is a very important place to be. Obviously because I'm new at the moment, I am happy just to participate. But I hope to find people like me who are working on making the world a better place (through intelligence), or willing to help . But I'm more then happy just to keep it at chat
