But my index finger is longer than my ring finger on my left hand. That probly just means im a freak though... -
the blackboard in the lavatory at Cambridge
JesuBungle replied to Martin's topic in Modern and Theoretical Physics
I think that's an excellent place for a blackboard. I come up with some of my best ideas on my...er em...thinking chair:embarass: -
Well since it's a triangle I would imagine you have to do that whole 1/2 base x height thing.

Yeah, it's cool that you can do normal stuff like that in your dreams. And sometimes in those little conversations with dream characters, you can find an answer to a problem that's been bugging you for a long time. It's almost like you can think outside of your own mind just for a little while. My friend broke my toilet one night at my old apartment lol, and no matter what I tried, I couldn't get it working again. Then one night I went to bed and had a dream I was talking to my dad about it, and he gave me the answer right there in my dream. So when I woke up I gave it a try and fixed the toilet. Herme, I think something you might be interested in is a movie called Waking Life. It's just a little fictional story of a guy with lucid dreams, but I think the animation is pretty cool:-)

There are certain remedies such as what you should drink or eat before going to bed to increase the chance of a lucid dream. I apologize for the term induce. Also, there is a long process that you can use to train yourself how to lucid dream. http://www.dreamviews.com/induction.php This site talks a lot about learning how to lucid dream.
-
First of all, I just wanna say AWESOME! That was a lucid dream. The girl that you were talking to was actually the girl you knew from high school. BUT, it was the girl as you remember her. The way she reacted or responded were all ways that your own mind would expect her to. I've been having lucid dreams for the past few months now and they are pretty fun. But in my experience there gets to be a point where you start questioning your real life, and getting confused if you're dreaming or not. That's not so fun. But there are ways to induce lucid dreams and ways to avoid them. The most recent one that i remember having was me driving home from work in my old squad car. I haven't driven that car in years but i remembered it perfectly. I drove through a cloud of smoke from a burning pile of leaves, and as soon as I could smell burning leaves, i somehow realised i was dreaming, drove on for what seemed like a few more minutes and then woke up.

get a soldering iron and some extra plastic and start melting it on there:-)

But in the Boron process, where does the steam come from? The water has to be heated somehow...

I think in 2012, our oil shipments from the planet xenxor90 will stop coming in and we will have to go to war with them:rolleyes:

Wow, that's awesome. That would be kinda weird with mammoths walking the earth again. Ooooh, and maybe sabertooths:eek:
-
This is kind of on the same subject. I've heard there was a mammoth that was dug up in Siberia I think, and it was perfectly preserved, fur and all. Would it be possible to use the DNA from that specimen to make a clone mammoth, or is the age a big factor?

Transparency with plasmonic (aka invisibility)
JesuBungle replied to 5614's topic in Modern and Theoretical Physics
Sounds like I better get to work on a metamaterial detector and sell it to whatever army wants it:D -
My apologies. I was drunk when I posted that:rolleyes: . But yeah, find a resistor at the same rating as the battery and just throw it in there.
-
I think you could use a capacitor instead of a battery, and somehow include that in the circuitry of the charger. You might have to do some research to find out how big of a capacitor to use though. Then after you charge your 3 batteries, just discharge the capacitor and start a new charge sequence.

If Antarctica was to thaw...would we find anything?
JesuBungle replied to RichF's topic in Other Sciences
Apart from fossils, there would be quite a cache of meteorites, which I'm extremely interested in. -
I'm reading this thread on the toilet. Is that addiction?

That is a cool idea lol. The size of the blimp allows enough helium to carry the weight of the blimp only. What you could do though is add perhaps a few more gas bags to compensate for the weight of a camera and whatever extra servos or receivers are required.

In visual basic, all you do is go under file. Then there should be a selection saying Make Project1.exe, or whatever the name of your project is. And that's it.
-
If I remember correctly, Visual Studio includes all of the Visual Suite, like C++ and all that good stuff. Visual Basic being only that program. Should be the same to compile an exe as visual basic. That is unless you're talking about .net, then I can't help ya.

So I'm thinkin, as soon as their is a nipple-less male mutation(similar to disney films), females will find them more attractive wiping out males with nipples completely:-)

turning your computer into a private proxy
JesuBungle replied to TheGeek's topic in Computer Science
I remember there being a remote access function in XP, though I am not sure how to use it. And it may only be in XP Professional. But I'm sure there's free programs out there to do a similar thing. -
I believe this is called narcissism, but I don't think there is anything sexual about it. More of a looks thing. So there may be yet another where the person is sexually attracted to themselve.

Well I'm going to have to admit, they didn't teach me all the math in flight school lol. But it's just a combination of a lot of forces that make it possible. Thrust, lift, gravity, drag, and a few I don't know about. My main concern is getting the plane up and landing safely. So I'm gonna leave it there and hopefully someone more mathematically inclined can help you out. It's also an easy google, plenty of sites about it.
