The Story of Science: Einstein Adds a New Dimension is a really good book for any beginners. I was introduced to astronomy by this very book, it also includes a certain amount of history too
The diagram isn't perfect because it's impossible for it to be shown in 4d because our eyes and mind can't perceive that. I think the diagrams ( i have seen tons of these) are just trying to represent how the indent or stretching of time and space creates gravity
I know i watched something about this but i can't recall. I know this will sound rather dumb but i remember something about the information being "recorded" on a kind of "holographic film" on the edge of the universe, which seems stupid. Dont trust what i said though because there's a high percentage that it is wrong
I recently read about the Information Theory and i think it said something about how information cannot be destroyed. But if matter falls into a black hole, doesn't it become wiped out from existance? Also black holes seem to be breaking the Law of Conservation too. I remember something about the string theory involved but i need some clarification here please.
In fact, i'm pretty sure if they survived the brutal process called "civilization" (with all the wars and riots included) they probably have far better weapons of mass destruction compared to our petty nuclear bombs. Besides, what would the aliens want from us? we are like apes/cavemen compared to them. They might even be sympathetique towards us like feeling bad for a stray puppy as far as I'm concerned.
