I doubt that this forum as a single has done much of anything, I think this is probably only one of many sites that have done the bombing and accomplished something as a whole. It likely that those sites at the top have thousands of referrers. Also, I was under the impression that each domain could only have one vote so to speak, so pasting the link more than one time doesn't do anything. Am I wrong?

Eek! I would NOT try to solder LED's with a soldering gun. That is asking for trouble. You should go buy yourself a decent iron (NOT a plumber's iron) first.

I don't think people would LED's in a computer case because they are trying to save power.

I have done it will silver hydroxide and acetate which is much worse than nitrate. It worked fine for me. Copper sulfate does not work very well for electroless plating though.

I don't see why electroless nitrate wouldnt work. Just throw it all in a jar and shake like there is no tommarow. Wash. Repeat if needed.
