  1. Dem doesn't understand this thread.
  2. You can make alloys with a melting point that is below room temperature from bismuth, indium, and gallium; none of these metals are liquid at room temperature.
  3. J'Dona likes orange juice.
  4. Unless the other side is grounded.
  5. Next question: why would anybody want a resolution lower, at, or anywhere near 640X480 for a pc?
  6. It depends on the power supply and your bodies potential. If your body is charged to +1kV then touching a similarly charged object wont do anything. But if your body does not have a charge or is charged to -1kv then you will get a 1-2kv shock. The shock wont be as high because the capacitance of your body is relatively low. Current will flow into your body until you reach the same potential as the power supply then current will cease to flow.
  7. There is no set current to kill. Nobody said that you must have 0.5A to kill, people can and have died from much much lower currents than that. I have heard this number quoted anywhere from 10ma to 9 amps for a woman and 10 amps for a man (no joke).
  8. The NaOH would be dissolved in the water, the aluminum would be pure-ish. Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) is lye and is sold as Red Devil Lye at the hardware store. Be careful with it though, it creates nasty burns.
  9. Like a script or a service?
  10. Keep in mind that a lot of ban-able posts get removed, and thus many times we don't see the reason people get banned.
  11. Try pressurizing it with a CO2 cannister.
  12. If you use web hosting I would go with DSL because the upload speed is equal to your download speed. With cable up speed is half as much. It seems that the provider choice is more important than the DSL/cable choice though.
  13. I have had much success with a solution of silver sulfate and sodium hydroxide. Even with the hydroxide you wont get a huge amount of silver ions but there will still be plenty for electroplating.
  14. I also have (somewhat) severe OCD, but I find the idea of becoming like Howard Hughes more appealing than scary. Howard Hughes was more than just a basket case, and I consider him to be a great man. What I'm trying to get at here is that most disorders come with more than just negative side affects, and its hard to say but do you think Howard would have accomplished all he did without OCD?
  15. The most common problem with old electronics is failing electrolytic capacitors.

    what is pie

pie are round, pi are square
  17. Christians believe that life starts at conception. Consider yourself now enlightened. I personally think Christians having a badly placed line is better than having no line at all.
  18. I thought it was a bit awkward. Not sure what was funny about it.
  19. When I was mowing the lawn a few years ago I was turning around at the fence and pushed against it with my arm to gain a bit of momentum. I few minutes later I felt a burning sensation in my arm and I looked down and saw around 500 splinters in my arm. Almost as stupid is when I used a needle to dig most of them out.
  20. I would guess guess a few molotov cocktails that some inconsiderate person dropped in.
  21. Sure, take a high voltage transformer with a decent current output and then bend two electrodes into a V shape with a space in the bottom.
