Use a lantern battery for the rods. That’s also the best way to get the MnO2. Also the H2O2+MnO2 reaction is fun if you do it in a large flask with a rubber stopper with thin glass tube in it. It creates a nice stream of pure oxygen. Just light a match and put it over the stream and the flame resembles burning magnesium.

NO2 reacts with water so I just put a few drops of indicator solution along with some water in a jar and sealed another jar on top of that with a Jacobs’s ladder inside. Obviously this isn’t a real practical process but it was an interesting experiment. Also if you leave the water out you can see the brown/red NO2.

I have been able to create nitric acid from NO2. Although I have no idea how pure it was. It was just an experiment to see if it was possible.

Of course it’s wirelessly powered! ALL of the power used by the mouse flows through the air at one point. It NOT powered by the battery it. The battery in the mouse could be replaced by a capacitor and it would still work. It doesn’t matter whether its only a few cm or not. Its still WIRELESS power. Just because something is wireless doesn’t mean that’s it can’t have wires somewhere in the device.

Of course there are batteries in it! He is wirelessly recharging the batteries NOT replacing them. The batteries could be dead and they would still charge!

I’m sorry, I should have said that it was relatively pure. Even if it was 50% it would still be more pure then you could ever buy/find it. I have not had any problems besides bleached fingers. It’s not really toxic by ingestion because you would never be able to keep it down. When dogs swallow things that need to come back up vets will just tell the owners to make the dog drink hydrogen peroxide. I have seen it in action… it’s not a pretty sight.

A coil gun uses an electromagnetic pulse to propel a ferromagnetic projectile. Just go to a photo developing place and ask for one of the disposable flash cameras in the recycle bin. Then go to radio shack and buy some magnet wire. Take a nail and cut the flat end of so it fits in a pen tube. Take the pen tube and glue two washers the same length apart as the length of the nail you plan on using. Then wind all of the thinnest magnet wire in-between the washers (it come in packs of 3 widths). Then just wire the coil in series with a switch parallel to the large capacitor in the camera. Then simply press the button to charge the flash on the camera. Put the projectile in front of the coil and press the button. The pulse will attract the nail towards the center of the coil but by the time it reaches that point the pulse will have stopped and the nail will keep going.

Just refreazing it over and over.

Well I have been able to get the H2O2 pretty pure but now I'm wondering why I bothered... I can’t find anything real entertaining to do with it. Any ideas? Here's the result of a thin film of H2O2 on an eye dropper. I didn’t even notice my finger was wet.

I think a microwave beam would be the best bet for wireless power. I have heard of people converting there wireless mouse to run without batteries. They just put a coil under pad/in the mouse.
