  1. Potatoes next to daisies??? Earth implosion eminent.
  2. Celebrity news is like real news only not important and easier to understand. Easily bored/Can't understand real news, celebrity news is for you. -enjoy.
  3. Even those who despise any type of government control know that public transportation is a must for large communities. I hope.
  4. That way he appeals to all audiences I love the show as well, and he did an amazing job at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. I especial love his hatred of bears. "I believe all God's creatures have a soul...except bears--bears are godless killing machines!" and "Giving a fly glasses is like giving a bear nunchucks." The laughing will never end.
  5. Cool people don't need to spell
  6. The coolest peoples' birthedays are in May.
  7. They had to make Dr. Foreman get sick, either to make us feel bad enough to like him again, or to kill him off. His character has been acting like a jerk for the last couple episodes. Good thing he lives though, he was my favorite character (besides House). And his he has the same name as the guy on the '70's show, Eric Foreman. I also like the allusion to Sherlock "Holmes." "House" -- "Holmes" ...
  8. I've moved the Wikipedia article for SFN to the new name "SFN (scienceforums.net)" and added a disambiguation page to differentiate between the different uses of "SFN." More importantly, the article has been nominated for deletion! I do not know the SFN article's fate.
  9. I think nuclear is worth pursuing, but I personally think that solar has much more potential. If I'm not mistaken we can run out of fission material (like Uranium), but the sun will be there for a while. It's not as cheap, but in the far away future I think it'll be necessary. But maybe not.
  10. I am very inexperienced with irc, I got mirc but it will expire soon. Are their any good free alternatives?
  11. From Mexico?? Some how I doubt a third of the population of Mexico with move the US in any small amount of time. Why shouldn't it be easy for immigrants to come into the US? As long as they aren't criminals, and then they aren't given so many hand outs that they won't try I think we're good. Even illegals are already entitled to some medical care, and yes, even an interpreter to talk between them and the doctor. Don't want to give them the benefits of citizens, too late. Why not let them start paying taxes, some of them do that already! Our borders, sure. We need to secure them much better, but it should also be a lot easier to get in legally. Language? Who cares what language anyone speaks? If we speak English and they can't get along without learning it, then too bad. But you're saying that if someone speaks Spanish you don't have to learn their language to deal with them? Is it culture superiority or does a language logically go with a geographic location and cannot be changed? If the latter the we should all be speaking something rather different than English. Culture? Why would having some people (or even a lot of people for that matter) with a different culture living near you be bad? Is it frightening? They should be disciplined for the law, provided that it is within our moral bounds. But things as extreme as deportation are just impractical. Make them pay taxes too, some of them already do. I completely agree. That's thinking outside the box for you. I like the idea, some of our American ignorance (or "faith" whatever you want to call it) can rub off on them. In my opinion this is more important than securing the borders. No jobs for illegals to have = much less illegals. As I have explained, it's frightening...
  12. try again: [As in: "yes you did make an assumption on my beliefs, when you said this:" ] That was the universal "You." Like "You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover." I don't literally that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, I am not addressing you personally. In the same way "You don't believe because there's some made up probability using arbitrary statistics," You is merely referring to universally to everyone. I didn't mean it to sound like I though that you don't believe because of something, because you had in fact explained earlier that you do not. Rather the flying saucer is undetectable by any means, and my knowledge only works when the saucer wants it too, and will not allow it self to be proven. (On a very off topic subject, my spell check says that "proven" isn't a word, hmm). Given my claim, using your logic, there is a 1 in 2 chance that this flying saucer is real.
  13. Never did' date=' merely stated my own. There's no evidence to refute the possibility of a large invisible flying saucer over my house feeding me information about penguins. Your point?
  14. I do believe in God, but realize the absurdity of the idea. You don't believe because there's some made up probability using arbitrary statistics. Yeah, and saying that there is a God has just as much evidence as that? You know that "random chance" is possible, and yet there is no evidence for a creator. We have uncovered insurmountable evidence that it happened by "chance." One has evidence and one does not.
  15. There are an ifinite amount of other possibilities other than God' date=' making the chances [u']1 IN INFINITY[/u]. Good odds eh?
  16. Halo 2.
  17. That is absolutely absurd.
  18. It very much depends on what kind of surgery, and I am not familiar with what you're suggesting I do know someone who had a "growth" removed for that area ("How did I get three!!?" situation). Not sure how long the actual surgery was, but he was pretty much recovered after a few weeks. I would worry more about what it costs, if insurance covers it, or most of it, I'd get it taken care of. Maybe if it didn't cover most of it
