I am glad that you joined, Wikipedia is possible because of people like you.

If you have to find something out for something in school (if you are in school) and you're all disapointed because you find out wikipedia has very little on that subject, then add it.

It can be reconized that an article by Professor someone Ph.D. would be a better source is all. Edit: Not to mention the Wikipedia vandalism that isn't always caught straight off. You have to check the history of the article to see if anything fishy is happening. On the article "Macbeth" on wikipedia a large portion of the article was deleted by a vandal, and it wasn't noticed until almost four hours later.

Hey, thanks guys!

Very good reference tool if you just want to know what something is.

Sorry about that, it was late when I posted that. I went through the dover case, Chris Colby's "Introduction to Evolutionary Biology" from Talk Origins: http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-intro-to-biology.html I went through the Time magazine article "Evolution Wars," especially the part about the eye, and if it was created by random mutation. I went through theories that were not evolution, paraphrasing parts of Dak's post in "Welcome, creationists, to Science Forum and Debate" http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=13059 I was wondering I could do that, we can use "Bulletin board or newsgroup postings" as references, doesn't SFN fall under "Bulletin board"? Anyway, I didn't do much with that section, because I'm not sure that I can use it. I went through some evidence on the University of California's "Understanding Evolution" web site, http://evolution.berkeley.edu/. (Fossil record, specifically beluga and ancestor nostril position on the skull, homology, most vertebrates have humerus, radius, and ulna, the reason for vestigial organs/structures, similarities between all cells, and an experiment that show a guppy population evolution). I went thought the whole flying spaghetti monster -ism thing. Then a cartoon found in the Washington Post entitled "Teach both Theories...Let the Kids Decide." I discussed the Constitutionality and the morality of teaching religion in public school science classes. And that's pretty much it.

I'm doing a research paper about why evolution should be taught in schools, and ID should not. I've got it mostly planned out, and I've written most of my rough draft, and I was wondering if anyone had some good suggestions.

My battery recharged... but when it got out of the computer it had no power. The light would only go on when it was in the computer. -
Definitely not.

What else is there? The will to live is tied to emotion isn't it?

Has it been 90 days since you bought it yet? -
Yes, efficiency and lack of conflict. The point is that without emotion human life is devoid of any reason to live anyway.

Yeah, most of the crapy sources are .com's or .net's.

You're right, we should invade, and take over to stop them -
Wikipedia can be useful for everyday information and reference, but not for writing papers (if that's what you're doing). If you are interested in writing a paper and don't want to use junk Internet cites (hence wanting to get non-internet sources), then I think I can help you, because there are good sources on the internet too. The easiest way to get good sources on the internet would be to only use government or education sites (such as .org, .edu, or .gov sites) and not commercial sites (such as .com, and .net). Altavista is a good search site to use (altavist.com) to find some of these good sites (that should be acceptable sources for a normal college paper). To filter out all of the .com's and .net's try something like *"evolution -domain:com" This search turns out some really good sites, such as: http://evolution.berkeley.edu/, http://mcb.harvard.edu/BioLinks/Evolution.html (this one took the tiniest bit of digging), and http://www.talkorigins.org/origins/faqs-evolution.html. *-domain:com makes the search exclude any sites ending in .com (make sure you put the hyphen/minus sign before domain). The same works from .net sites as well.

My Ipod shuffle when threw the washing machine... It has been a sad day... Is there anything I can do? Will it ever work again when it dries out?

Why would there be advances if no one cares?

Sorry I don't have much to add, but the the book "Black Like Me" it tells about how those blacks who became successful were seen as traitors to the black community (of couse this was in the early 60's I beleive).
