  1. I agree, although it may not lower prices, it would make the U.S. less dependent on other parts of the world for oil. Seward would want us to get some of that oil! I know there are some sort of animal that migrates around where the drilling would be, but that seems easily correctable. I don't see a drilling facility taking up enough space so it would block migration, and heck we make salmon jump up cement "ladders" to get passed dams!
  2. I live in a smaller city, I'm not exposed to many homeless people, and I am relatively young and unexperienced. Are most homeless people without families or is it common to have whole families that are homeless?
  3. I believe you wrote this, but I don't know if it is a cause of homelessness or an effect of, or possibly connected to mental illness?
  4. Cut down on crime, there will be no repeat offenders!
  5. I guess I need to rethink that a little bit, you are very right.
  6. The problem is that some "Creationists" don't know what evolution is. This person obviosly DOES NOT know what evolution is or how it works, if he did I think it is far more likely that he would accept it rather than reject it.
  7. Of course, but it is important to be sensitive to the feelings of the people who actually get the scores as well, but I definitly see your view.
  8. well if they get the score then why shouldn't they get it shown?
  9. I must admit he pitches the liberal issues very well.
  10. Review for landwanderer
  11. I can see expensive housing as a problem...but how is this an intentional punishment? I truely don't see how.
  12. Admiral!
  13. Someone plz define "monster".
  14. I think its more related to the number of nerve cells rather than the size or mass. Elephants have bigger brains, but not as many nerve cells that make up thier brain, so they aren't as smart (or at least thats what the fact of the day was on a discovery channel show when I was 12 )
  15. Dude buz, I can relate. Faf got me some major warning pointage once
  16. Of course, but this would not bring the population of the world into millions in any kind of near future.
  17. I wasn't refering to my Utah system, I was refering to the ideal American system. Utah is very conservative, and one on my very few liberal veiws include the death penalty. Second how do you equate not killing a person to condoning what they do? Why can't we use other methods other than death? Death has a two-fold downside, whereas it cannot ever be undone, and it accomplishes nothing except revenge. You continue to use you're emotional trump card, and I don't see much worth in it. I can just as easily say that there could be a family trying to help someone in their family because he's done some really bad things. But he is sentenced to death, and is killed leaving behind a broken down family, and nothing is better for it. This is the part that disturbs me. Are you saying that people are born a certain way and can never be anyhting different. So everything that society traditional believed in such as disipline is crap? I'm sure that the vast majoridy of people are capible of change on some level, and of compasion, and if someone is not then it still is not in any way justifiable just to kill them. You're reasoning is just to kill people because they are bad people. So if someone is bad, the answer is the kill them. I see that as an atrocity, I think whoever would do that is in fact, a very bad person.
  18. When I was 14 I enjoyed finding out how combustable certain things are
  19. So we don't know if its happening.
  20. Yeah, and I doubt that friendly countries will enter such a war anyway, probably loan them money and sell them weapons, but not full invovement. We never fought the Soviet Union straight on, we funded some countries against them, but where nuclear weapons are invoved most countries will aviod invovement. Nulear weapon force everything to be calmer, because if a few string of events go wrong, then some major cities will be destroyed all around the world, but I very much doubt that the world will be destroyed .
