  1. We can't handle anything before The Big Bang™ with scientific analysis methods, because we don't know if the basics which science is based upon were existent at that time/place. So, it's more of a philosophical question, hence making bjaminwood's argument about the bible more valid than you might want it.

    Gamma-ray Moon

I'd guess it's the difference of the surfaces.
  3. I'm not sure it's a good idea to sign a probe that may crash into something important for some aliens. Imagine it hits their emperor or some powerplant, causing a disaster. Do we really want an "Independance Day"?
  4. LOL! I thought "WTF??? Don't leave me like this!!!!!" as i read the first post. Useful site! Thanks for the finding!
  5. Wouldn't night goggles make it visible? I mean, you can only break a band of wave lengths and it would reflect rather than break the light to both ends of this band. Or am i wrong?
  6. We can't change it anyway, so what's the point? It DOES make sense, but one can only see the results when it's too late, so what's the point? It WILL HAVE to change and WILL change one day, but definately not now, so, what's the point? Make life simpler and work more efficiently. Co-operate. (Whoa, that's a good sig!)

    WebSpecials

Nevermind, it's gone now. After all that trouble. Gone. Just like that! Weird. I couldn't delete it, it seemed to have several copies somewhere. I cleaned out the registry and really tried all free software i could get. That was last year or so. Now Avast got rid of it. I'm just happy it's gone.

    WebSpecials

To make a long story short: i was VERY dumb and gots me that web specials thingy. I tried almost everything and all free software that's out, but no use, it's nested everywhere. So, i decided to format my drive. So, how do i backup everything without copying webspecials?
  9. http://www.google.com/ig - there you can customize Google. (Yes, just like MyYahoo) There's a SFN gadget, but it doesn't work. Who's working on it? Is it on hiatus? EDIT: A gadget is a small piece of programming, a module like an rss feed that you can put on your homepage to stay informed on the latest news.
  10. Depeche Mode - Sound Of Silence is awesome! Elysis - * nice electronic ambient (did the soundtrack for Nexuiz) David Bowie - Ashes To Ashes Deftones - Simple Man SoundGarden - Black Hole Sun Aphex Twin - Everything. Represents me the best. Serious. Listen Stone In Focus as last! Music is really like a drug to me, except negative long-term side-effects. It has downsides, because when there's a song i really like then everything around me vanishes and all i conceive is that music. It's interesting to observe how my taste varies and even completely changes sometimes.
  11. Distraction, controlled breath and fun. That's been my own therapy and it worked. Sure, there's more to that, but this is the outline. Talking to someone can help, too. And sports. Also, trust in yourself! I like to spin pens around my fingers to train my concentration. I reward myself, if i manage something that's difficult to me. When i feel anxiety coming up i take a deep breath and think of something nice. Exercise is a nice distraction and does your body good. Controlled breathing can help You "recapture" Your mind. You can always mail me! I'm curious how other people feel and what they experience.
  12. Feelings have alot to do with scents and pheromones. There have been studies that showed people sat on specific chairs, due to pheromones and that's how we choose our partners and so on. I'm not sure feelings affect water, but i guess it wouldn't hurt to stay on the safe side, so i tell my water how great it looks before i drink it.

    sweetness

I always drink honeyd water and noticed cold water becomes "sweeter" than warm (boiled) water with the same amount of honey applied. I thought it's because of the lime, but what exactly happens when water is boiled?
  14. Yeah, it's for breaking your opponents guard and balance. It can become really annoying to fight a wing tsun fighter.
  15. Most of my creative works result from that state of mind. I love it, it feels like my head is flooded with feelings, images and ideas. As if worlds sprouted from the depths of my mind. A whole universe inside my head. I had several experiences which make me believe it's possible to access specific abilities such as calculating or memory.
  16. I guess it depends on the style which muscles are more useful to train. Pushups and shadow boxing is the best way to increase punch speed. You might also want to try underwater boxing. There are several pushup techniques. Knuckle pushups are best for speed and punch efficiency (Strength). They also strengthen your bone structure. In the end it's all in the vectors.
  17. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/entropy I understand entropy to be the measure for chaos and that it's the reason for the increasing expansion of the universe.
  18. GameBoy™... good old days... Yeah, i'm still amazed of those robust little thingies. Though my gameboy didn't survive the "incident", the game cartridge was fully functional. I used to have a ball on replacing the chips of my friends' games with other games and seeing them going nuts! Were they even safe against magnetism? But there's a reason technology changed. Blu-Ray discs will store 200 gb and holographic data storage will even top that.

    IQ of nature

    exactly my point.
  20. That would be the "other problem". Since we exist in a 4d+ universe, we'd have to find a way to teleport to the desired place and time. I believe that it would require a constant supply of energy to stay in a certain timeline, otherwise you'd get "lost".
  21. There even is a fat-only diet and it wouldn't be much surprising if evolution made us "fat-o-vores" (is there a proper name for that?), but that would take ages!
  22. The first time was 3 days and i felt like a colibri and my cheese toast was talking to me. I just couldn't sleep. The second time i forced myself to about 5 days or a week, but i guess i experienced this "micro-sleep". Anyway, i don't recommend it to anyone! It has long-term-side-effects! It damages your brain and shortens your lifespan!

    Pizza Problem

Depending on the kind of mozzarella I let it soak first and i wait 'till the other cheese starts to melt before i put it on the pizza.
  24. Neat! But could you put the latin names in there?
