.. I think there is an involved issue with new ideas, as with tasting new foods. Am I going to like this? Is this going to poison me? Why don't I just, eat what I know and like , and not bother with this completely unknown food. We cannot exist without ingesting many things, New sounds, new words, new air, new touch, as well as the similar things we do know. We have protective mechanisms at every interface on our bodies to filter out the unknown or unwanted. By default we often opt for the " better safe than sorry " and reject things we do not know. Hence or similarly " the body science " responds in a similar way to new ideas, paradigm shifts, etc However if the body science is to break new ground it needs the new ideas. If they are new ideas , there is almost certain to be a sprinkling of speculation about ! Mike

Whatever Theory Today I came across some yellow leaves from the same tree. Although slightly different. They all come from the same plant. The green leaves are from a completely different plant. The background reference is again white printer paper. I wondered whether the leaves could help with these error bars ( namely the extremes of difference possible on the same plant type. Same colour ) Also you might be able to get a gist of how useful this Colour Coding might be . Something I have been thinking , might be useful in this research is. nearly all trees have green leaves . You look across the countryside here in the U.k. Everything is Green many slightly different tones , but green . Maybe Green would make a good base reference , at least in the plant kingdom. Just a thought . If you want me to keep my eyes open for anything , say Rocks. Of different colours. Let me know . I go out and about on Geology trips every month. The white paper is ordinary printer paper , held awkwardly , as I tip toed into a freezing cold river/ stream near Totnes, Devon . The stones were in the shallow water. The sun was shining . I thought it might be a useful exercise for " whatever ...." To try out with his system of colour coding " . Mike

Hi ' whatever ..theory ' Today I have been out into the environment . I went to a stream and found and took 3 colour images , together with white reference paper. 1 grey stone in stream and ref white paper 2 red stone under water and ref white paper 3 green , yellow and orange leaves with white reference paper. . You have asked. . . " I have coined this term already as (Genetic Color Code) , but if any one here has a better idea of what it should be called," My suggestion for its name is simply .. " Colour Coding " . ... " Colour Coding Theory " . " CCT " It's got a nice ring to it, rolls off the tongue well ! . Then it does not tie it in to ' genetic ' which is normally tied to living things, whereas you are including minerals . We ( electronics engineers of yesteryear, ) used to colour code resistors with distinct , individual colours . Black 0 , Brown 1 , Red 2, orange 3 , Yellow 4 , Green 5 , Blue 6 , Purple 7 , Grey 8 , white 9 resistors were beautiful little things , first caught my eye as a 9 year old boy . Mike

Hi. ( Whatever Theory ) I think ,observing a simple pattern in nature , is a good place to start in any research. You appear to have noticed a pattern , that I have noticed simplistically , And wondered about, but have never progressed it very far. Two things I noticed were 1) fish tended to be multi and brightly coloured the further you go south , or rather nearer the equator. 2 ) the darker human beings seem to be nearer the equator , the lighter the human beings seem to be the further north or nearer the Poles. So for what it is worth, I have a hunch , that you may be on to " something " here. Not sure , quite what you are on to? But I think you might be on to " something ". Keep going ! It's a colourful subject to be in , anyway ! ( me here stating the bl.. g. Obvious as usual ! ) Mike

It would seem ..Metastable states ... Is a wide area of influence across many area of science, It appears in Electronics., chemistry, lasers, fundamental physics, atomic and quantum physics, and many more besides. It is concerned with getting into a temporary situation , whereby phenomenon may be experienced for a period of time, ranging from fractions of a second to large Indeterminate time. Only when a ground state is reached is there no further to go. I am certainly interested , that under the environment of exactitude present in quantum or micro behaviour of matter. Here I believe the necessary lack of equality is not always present , which can give rise to both stable states and ' stuck' states. I am not very versed in this , but have heard of ' meta stable states ' perhaps this could be clarified . I personally suffer from ' rabbit in the headlights ' phenomenon . Namely the rabbit does not run away , stares at the headlights and gets run over. If I get too many problems at once, rather than dealing with them sequentially , ." I stultify ". And have to do Nothing ,( like staring into the headlights ) . I go meta stable ? Mike

. The two mishaps that stick out in my memory of being quite dangerous , and had and could have had consequences are :- Setting : I was on a lengthy assignment , in conjunction with a Magnetics Equipment Manufacturer. I acted as a technical sales liaison engineer, visiting several of the Big manufacturers in the U.k. Some make cars, others whole body scanners , mainframe computers etc It was my role to discuss and demonstrate how the company I represented could supply equipment to make magnets by magnetising materials with one GINORMOUS magnetising pulse. This energy was generated and stored in really Big Capacitors. If I remember correctly they used two parallel ONE FARAD CAPACITORS. ( paper dielectric ) While not in use they used to short the terminals ,less stray electric field accidentally built up a huge charge and a stray hand with a ring on his/her finger should touch the terminals , they would loose a finger. 1. There was one such magnetiser sitting in a test position in a motor car manufacturers plant ready for testing . The apparatus was the size of a large washing machine . The magnetising coil and core protruded ( just) out of the top. Also on the top was a big red start button .The whole line was in set up, pre-production mode. I was some distance across the production floor , when I noticed a pre magnetised ,magnet sitting on the magnetising head. Realising what could happen if an existing magnet is given a massive magnetising pulse . I screamed across the large workplace floor " DON'T ANYBODY TOUCH ...................RED BUTTOn ........ Too late ! ...the Gigantic discharge from the 2 Farad. Capacitors did the business . The magnet shot across the production floor at an enormous speed . Fortunately not hitting anyone. Hitting the distant wall , like a bullet . ....I was bright scarlet with embarrassment . -------------------------------------------- 2. Same setting , this time in a famous whole body scanner manufacturer. This time I was demonstrating a smaller magnetiser , the size and weight of an old fashion large microwave oven . This device with its heavy separate solid epoxy covered coil and core. This time I was in the design engineers open plan office. I plonked the magnetiser on HIS desk with its coil and microprocessor controlled magnetising electrical driver. I placed an un magnetised metal object on the solenoid . This was more of a precision , microprocessor controlled , magnetising process. If I remember is gave a succession of magnetising and demagnetising pulsed to aim for a precise level of magnetism . Nonetheless these were fairly large pulses. El problemo! As I demonstrated this large pulsing magnetic field , as it hunted for the correct level. The engineers desk draw throbbed and clattered in sympathy with the audible pulses. I said , " I hope you have nothing too important in those draws. " He tore open the draw , and there were all his discs and storage USB Memory Sticks of his recent designs. I left with my tail between my legs . I do not think we got that order !,, MIKE

When first going into business when I was a Naive young Sprog. I was advised by some old , passing ,seasoned, sage-like businessman. " Don't go into a 50 % 50% partnership, they don't work . It did not mean a lot ,to me at the time , as I was not about to go into one . I remember his words quite clearly . And as life went by , I saw the result of many equal partnerships . They often seem to flounder, dissolve or split up, or worse go sower .I did get into one , sort of equal , ( no dominant partner ) business partnership . It went bad , it dissolved , it did not work . On reflection , and hindsight , I think I can see why. Even if it is only in ONE aspect for a time , having a partially dominant member or partner for that aspect , makes things happen , things get done , rather than argue endlessly , for a better way. And is this not taking a lesson from the environment. Does not the material universe and many living things in the animal kingdom , function that way . It's difficult to bring up the subject of human couples, but it has to be said because it's there. I am not a marriage guidance councillor , but I imagine successful couples, accommodate the other taking the lead in certain aspects, while the other member takes control ,in a different aspect. The material universe , seems to get ' hung up ' , when confronted with stultified , or equal lock up or lock out situations , so I am led to believe. The universe appeared to have started when Symmetry broke .! Meta stable states appear to freeze when two electrons have no preferred direction! Business partnerships of equal partners often fail in the face of difference of opinion! Is inequality of partnerships , a necessary attribute of nature , in order to work ? Mike

Interesting comparison : Totally on a separate occasion , while traveling out of the U.k. Through Heathrow Bus terminal . Here people from all over the world are coming and going , via the different Heathrow airport terminals , as well as Stansted Airport Terminal where the sculpture above is situated One sits in the Bus terminal waiting for a call for whichever bus will take you to the correct terminal or town. People of all nationalities are standing still , moving left , right , busses arrive one after another , planes take off every few minutes. I tried to capture the feeling of this , with a white on black , sketch . Remarkably how similar in principle to the rotating Sculpture . ( two posts previous ) post # 167 See following :- In the foreground passengers , standing , moving off in different directions . In the middle layer up , of the picture, busses arriving , stacked up , door open passengers getting on / off. In the top portion, aircraft taking off , in the high angle initial climb . Mike

My guess, and it is only a guess, is that :- when the change in direction to the magnetic field occurs , it will be over sufficient period of time for us to adapt , as it occurs. Mike

.What I neglected to say was , that the rotating sculpture, or work of art, was at Stansted Airport , North of London . You drive , either side of it , if you arrive by shipping National Bus to Stansted. It is an eye catching sight , towering quite high, yet easily visible. Accompanied by the constant roar , as yet another flight takes off for somewhere in Europe. It rotates as a whole about once every few seconds. Alternating direction. Then a secondary smaller version of the right angled shape , rotates separately, also at once every few seconds, in alternating directions( clockwise - counter clockwise ) Mike

. Here is a moving Artistic Sculpture, clearly produced by a scientific Engineer , yet with an interesting Artistic Expression The Sculpture rotates , slowly . At the same time the diagonal bars move from horizontal, to a small angle ( clearly the nature of aircraft wings, moving from stationary to take off , and climb , then return to level flight . Many intermingling such devices well illustrates the many take offs from the Airport . A simple analysis can bring out from the mechanism , the various Artistic features :- EG. *. .catching the spirit , or mood of activity at the airport, Many , many travellers going in different directions. *.. The movement, of multiple items illustrated , without collision , portraying the complex activity of the Aircraft as well as the footfall of the Passengers, while moving about the terminal. * .. * .. Notice the various angles of the vapour trails of aircraft taking off around Heathrow Airport , taken from bus on return journey . Some vapour trails have nearly spread out completely . Mike

No ! I was wondering if a simple model of circular activity , say like a sphere , could in some way come to represent what happens with forces about circular motion . This is purely ' plucked out of the air ' , but it's that sort of thing . Perhaps comparing circular motion with what happens around black holes, galaxies, suns , worlds ,planets , asteroids and meteors . After all , these things nearly all have circulating objects , can we not make observations specifically hunting for evidence of centripetal- centrifugal action . I expect you will say, " it's already being done " . But people will not be inclined to look for things that science says " does not exist " ( eg centrifugal force ) . Whereas if we posited " it does exist! " and go looking for evidence of it ? May be it's tied in with all those distortions in space ? Mike (Now 10 pm sleep . Yes I do understand what you are saying, I just wonder if there is not another perspective which might just handle the circular motion - centrifugal force " mental , instinctive , conflict , non intuitive " , that 'gets at ' quite a few people , not just me. On a side note Michael Kaku appeared on panorama a few days ago saying " gravity does not pull things down " but rather " space is pushing down " This probably brings into play Einstein's view of distortions in space , even though it is still valid , even though it infers two masses attracting one another by maths Newtons m1m2 G / r-squared. The distortions in space caused by the two masses gives a more intuitive picture ( the trampoline image ) . Could there just possibly be a simple paradigm with reference to centrifugal force , even though the maths works things out in a different way . ( as happened with Newtons maths and Einstein's general theory of relativity and the dented trampoline. ) ? Could there be ? Mike

Yes I appreciate what you are saying here, BUT , what if the current model , even though the maths works , for all that is currently required of devices that use these specific ,convoluted explanations. Perhaps on a par with how the maths was correct , but convoluted for planetary motion, . Then a new perspective , a simpler one , made everything far clearer , leading on to greater understanding. If we tried , everything in circular motion , worked in a simple way as if we were in the centre of the circle . And things pulled, pushed, traveled, accelerated etc all in the way they appear to do. Is there not a case for exploring a simple way which gives simple results ? Or is this just a pipe dream ? Mike
