. . Yes! Quite! But I need you to open ONE of the boxes ! . And the beauty of black box principles is it does not dismiss anything but enables you to think in manageable chunks. Dealing with one aspect at a time while keeping the whole system running, as you visit one thing at a time. So let's deal something. I did make a claim in my first part of this thread 20 odd pages ago , that I found this TOE did work with everything and I still hold to that. Else it would be a nonsense. However I have been exploring openly with others, including your good self some of the details both on and off the forum. Perhaps it is an inevitable destination of the human mind that we all revert to " the beginning " bit, " yes ,but how did that sequentially come about " ...... The chicken and the egg ! We still have to go back to the black box ,sometime and try to fathom it out. If you want to do that right now ! Then so be it ? It might come out and bite us on the nose ! The other issues of tubes and paths of least resistance are fairly easy by comparison, and an enjoyable exercise, like looking at the details of a pretty flower. I do think we need to think what we have got ....... and what we have not got . Dark matter and dark energy are so much of an unknown at the moment, it might be better to keep them in one of the " Black boxes " I spoke of earlier. I find entropy, like trying to walk forward, while looking back over your shoulder ! It always sounds back to front. If anything increases, you normally think it's something advantageous ,. Like More money is rich. More energy is good I can travel further, get warmer. More this more that (apart from disease) is usually an advantage. With entropy it all sounds back to front More entropy more disorder. Less entropy more order . My mind goes into counter intuitive mode and has to work it out every time entropy is mentioned. Had a go at a drawing with dark matter including dark energy in the same location ( ping pong balls ) 95 Per cent , drawn in dark blue Visible ordinary ( Baryonic) matter ( galaxy strands ) drawn in pinky red 5 percent Looks a fairly good correlation to the computer simulations of the universe at large. Where dark blue equals black and red equals pink. So we now need to reason ? Is the dark matter pushing into the real matter and squashing it into strands , or pulling it out into threads ? And is the dark energy pushing everything out wards from the same location ? Mike

I must say the first time I saw the overall image ( in red ) that they produced of the whole universe, I did think it all looked a bit like a massive foam bath, made up of ga-trillions of bubbles, and thought of the opposing tensions and pressures present in bubbles. There( in real bubbles) air pressure inside the bubbles is pushing out, and surface tension and other pressures and bubbles are pushing in ! This sort of fits with the dark energy pushing out and the dark matter pushing in, and the visible matter being the walls of the bubbles. ( the galaxies ) Maybe someone should take a bath in a warm swimming pool and put a goodly helping of liquid soap in it , and get 100's of people to jump in ,and thrash about a bit, and see what it looks like. Equally interesting you bring up the point about , " what is there " like galaxies and " what is not there" like voids And then of course the subject of dark matter. , which appears to influence the visible universe by GRAVITY. If we take the proportions of visible matter to invisible dark matter, currently given as 5 per cent visible , with dark energy and dark matter making the other 95 per cent . Dark matter 27 percent dark energy 68 percent . This means that the dark matter is either around outside, or at the core of these threads. And it is 5 times heavier than normal matter. The last few days uk bbc has conducted a space watch experiment. The public was encouraged to take part. An amateur astronomer discovered the galaxy. Major telescopes, around the world followed the sighting .Keck telescope in Hawaii , etc uk Jodrell Bank radio telescope seen in background. Live. Looking at new galaxy. The galaxy is due to be named 9........ With the name of the discoverer . Pictures : - A) Gravity lens produced by galaxy in front ( bright central cluster ). A very large galaxy behind able to be seen by the lens , and bent around galaxy in front . (seen to bottom right smudge of bright light ,) more examination will reveal more details of the new galaxy behind. B) Commentators discussing live tonight Thursday 9 th Jan 9:10pm tonight . C) Norwegian TV commentator in an aircraft flying at 33'000 ft watching as the start of a mass ejection from the sun arrives down the channel to the North Pole . Perhaps you are right .a bridge too far. Perhaps I ought to leave the large hadron collider to those who know the details of that giant. I had fond ideas that the particles were on some form of synchronised ride that allowed them to smoothly get faster and faster ,like a well oiled bicycle wheel being spun. But as you say, the way you describe it , it was more of a forced journey . Back to the drawing board on that one. Maybe this indicates that we should :- Yipee !

Tonight prof Brian cox together with various tv commentators and a rep from NASA ,looked at the night sky through a link in Norway and saw the aurora borealis sun charged particles coming out from the sun , meeting the tube of magnetic field lines that form a cone over the North Pole accept the charged particles directly down into the North Pole This was live tonight approx 9 o clock uk time Tuesday 7th jan 2014 This is an example how particles follow the field lines in a closed tube ! I think ! All be it . Quite a wide tube . But a tube none the less ! While dealing with this matter of particles travelling down tubes. Tar Some diagrams of gravity fields indicate concentrations and rarification of field contours near the Lagrange points. see the following :- . . This last of the three wikipedia diagrams is of the orbits of a craft , rather than the gravity field lines. however it does illustrate your criss cross comments of the tubes. Clearly NASA has used these tubes for orbits because of the efficient use of fuel, which would indicate a tube of least resistance or of no resistance. Thus one could reason to go outside these tubes would be less efficient, require more energy fighting against gravity fields. If such tubes exist at this Astronomical scale One could ask :- Are there scaling possibilities to both the normal Human Macro Scale and also Atomic/quantum Micro scale. If so, could this offer us interesting opportunities at the Human and Atomic Scale. ? Clearly , at the astronomic scale we are talking of Gravity fields, At the Atomic scale , Electric fields and Magnetic fields. This is an example of electrons moving in a Cyclotron Maybe these " tubes of opportunity" exist around and near the atom which might ( only very might ) help explain some of the strange quantum phenomenon, like : Quantum tunneling, Position Uncertainty, Things happening at remote locations, and a host of other atomic quantum phenomenon. Field lines are strange things in that there is nothing actually there merely a constant value of field intensity. It is the merit of something following a field line of constant intensity that provides the benefit. ( as in railway lines, and walking through counrtyside ) unless you prefer walking up and down hills , rather than slinging yourself through the countryside around the hills.
