This has been used by NASA and is surely useful evidence for this thread ,that "Tubes of opportunity" do exist and thus the "lingual theory of everything " has a useful piece of evidence supporting its prediction. And enhancing its stature. The pinches in the tubes are the lagrange points ( zero gravity caused by balance with gravity field of two adjacent bodies primarily ( say earth and sun or earth and moon ) The tubes encase the various possible trajectories that enable 'free energy use ' of the tube between different lagrange points. Energy is required to enter the tube as an initial "initiative " Tar. The outside of the tube it does not work, the inside of the tube it does work. Where inside dictates the particular destination I believe . Things are sort of fitting with the 'lingual theory of everything' structure. There is a useful 'moral in this story ' Seek out the entrances to " Tubes of opportunity , and go 'Surf the Cosmos' " ...............man .. Mike

OTHER BLACK BOXES Many have been considering what aspects would need to be present AT the instant of the Big Bang and how they could get there. These other Black boxes could become host to these aspects , without at this stage identifying HOW the Black Box works , or necessary which Input acts as the input to ,this or that , Black box. These of course are in addition to the 1st Black Box with either [ chaos , void, abyss, God, or nothing, etc ] in it I appreciate the 1st back box ( with the green thread coming out of oblivion into it ) is a 'special' ,but it can be put into suspended disbelief temporarily, as a Black Box in its true sense and think about it later, if you accept its output only or its transfer characteristics [say as:- It itself is some form of Initiative, and/or math,,and/or duplication, and/or fundamental numbers, and/or energy etc] Mike UNIVERSE .

No Michel , it was your beautiful blue box that made me notice this " introduction party "Seems a good idea, seeing how as we meet from time to time on the forum ,with different postures. Like being pulled out of the mire from time to time after a battle with " spiders". Not sure how long this party has been going but here goes. Not sure what this last bit means.,But I am surprised , as most of the commentators are respected in their own right! The science community seems to be divided ! 1. There are those that believe life will be everywhere but so far have found none. 2. There are those who see what has happened here on earth seems very special ,possibly fairly unique at this time, certainly in the Milky Way galaxy. As Enrich Fermi once said , " If there is other alien life WHERE ARE THEY ? " . They would be here by now ! To build a universe whoever or however it got built it. It takes billions of years, and we are only 13.6/13.7 billion years in. The first half of that time it took to get all the elements processed through the first /second generation stars. Say the second half to get to where we are now. Time flies when you are making the universe ! Mike

Surely the root quantity is energy, not time or distance but energy . Only integer (1,2,3,4....) chunks of energy are allowed, namely 1 x 6. Bla de bla x 10 to minus 34 joules. All this surely because there is frequency associated with each energy level change , the frequency of the photon released. And frequency waves only come in whole ,complete waves( 1,2,3,4,....) Similarly the electrons, although nowerdays are considered in energy bands , were considered originally by Bohr , as existing as whole waves of tracks around complete orbits. Which do work out mathematically. So the quantum effect as far as I understand it, originates here. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong in the way I have described it. Now the word quantum seems to be applied to all things small. True all what I have said involves things like electrons, orbitals atoms and photons are all micro in size. But the word quantum really is to do with the chunks of energy. Mike

You seem to have gone strait for the jugular edd . When I coined this three principle Lingual Theory of everything back in the late 1980,s /early 1990's ,I realised I needed to take account of the universes' initial chain so put line one in to handle this issue. My reasoning was that if it were not true , we would not be here , or the universe. and as the evidence appears to be we are here , and the universe is here , it must be true. If we look at the pre Big Bang region split as I have proposed into a succession of black box regions that we can say they exist even though we are unsure how each black box performs or works . But we can say each one has an input , process and output. If we accept that somewhere in this succession say ( black box 6 ) MATHS appears at the output of this particular black box. What we can be sure of is , that for maths to exist there must be number, and for there to be number there must be more than 1 (ONE). One goes to two, by division and/or duplication. Two goes to four ,four to eight. Etc. In other words some form of division and/duplication of something must have been present at the input of that black box. I am not sure if what I say now is going to help your question. The root , rootish of most things is Energy. So although other scientists like Einstein with photo electric effects, Bhor with atoms with electrons buzzing around nuclii, and others . It was becoming clear that energy particularly in its association the the atom, electrons and Photons of light, ,Energy seemed to be in discrete chunks ( digital) rather than a continuous variable.( analogue) . Between them they worked out that with maxwells previous work on Light being an Electro-magnetic Wave that Energy like Light can only exist as Whole Waves . 1,2,3... waves integer number of waves ,the minimum being 1. Plank merely worked out the constant of energy for one wave. namely 6.6260697 X 10 to the minus 34 Joules-sec . So if you want to associate it with particular photons of Light energy say red light , violet light , green light coming from an atom. Energy = h (planks constant ) x Frequency of Photon . From this base you can work out a plank distance, plank time , be it that photon light is travelling a distance at the speed of light, Mike

Some of your thinking " new age guru's " have gone on to take part in social improvement enterprises ,to make the world a better place. Others thinkers have looked out at the world and seen beauty, art, variety, kindness, love, passion, the palethers of delight in nature and come to hypothesise that not all by half of the world is working to a different mechanism than determinism. Even quantum mechanics has an uncertainty HALF to its very core . Trees are not symmetrical , rabbits skip about a field , people fall in love with strangers, beauty surrounds us, the astronomic heavens is full of the most beautiful and wonderful happenings. True another observer may see the order aspect of the cosmos with its mathematical rigor holding fabric together, but there is this other aspect which is as much a mechanism thus subject to a physics explanation even if it has the hallmark of apparent disorder. This aspect may still be subject to hypothesis and theory , even though it's image is less tidy! Mike

I think the mathematitians amongst us are trying to say , " that unless a new conceptual idea perhaps drawn from some form of observation and reasoning does NOT have maths either stamped all over it from the start, in its infancy, it wants throwing to one side " I personally think this is a mistake. New embryonic ideas can be observed, thought about and reasoned on by NON mathematicians and should be given space during the embryonic stage of the ideas development. True later , if there is some room for imposing or recognising a mathematical element in the idea or concept then fine. No doubt it will enhance and help in the ideas ' consolidation. Mike

I personally am not too keen on the idea that Maths is at bedrock, but I will be interested in his reasoning. He does say it is only his opinion .

I get the distinct feeling " you are extracting the Michael " ! Mike Anyway, I bought the 2014 edition of Max Tegmark Book entitled . Our Mathematical Universe . . My Quest for the Ultimate Nature of Reality . He is the Scientist who believes like you that it is maths at the root. ! Guess that is my brain screwed up for Christmas ! .

Even though it could be constrewed a trivial case, " I am going to buy of shoes" was within the area of everything, also I had a desire and initiative to buy a pair of shoes (not the least of it , because my current shoes had developed a slit, and we're letting dampness in. With the warning of rain,hail,snow and other flooding ) I coined the INITIATIVE " I want/need to buy a pair of shoes. " Quite unconsciously I dropped into the third category of the lingual theory of everything. The universe was not geared up to drop a pair of shoes out of the sky, also there existed a certain small resistance " left to their own devices" I might have been inclined to leave the purchase for a while further. Financial resistance being what it is ( shoes are b... Expensive ). My wife was not a resistance as she has been pestering me for some time ( " go and get yourselves a decent pair of shoes..."). My initiative was endorsed by grabbing my shoulder bag and wallet and jumped on a bus. Resistance came in the form of oodles of Christmas shoppers, oodles of choice, shoes that did no fit, prices that were some astronomical, ones I liked, but like Cinderella's ugly sisters would not fit on my feet. The course led me along a path of least resistance and I purchased a pair ( course of least resistance) that were in the sale so not too expensive £35 or 50 US dollars , did up easily, looked kind of cute and above all did not let the water in . " There is likely to be no reason why that photon of e-m bubble , should not go its way through space , forever. .... What I am saying is :- That I am proposing a theory of everything Given in a language form rather than a mathematical form. Language being more flexible than maths which can get a bit exact. Maths, indespensible, very useful at times for structure, but very inflexible and not conducive to life conciousness, development and a host of other 'goodies' that fill the Cosmos ! Remembering that maths itself is only a model of reality ,not reality itself. ( unless of course you hold that MATHS is the reality which I am very apprehensive to believe it is. )?
