Another Random Thought of my mind,
Lets imagine space as dough
When we spin the dough at high speeds it starts to expand, just like a chef rotates the pizza dough to make it larger.
Since the dough is getting thinner, the rate at which it expands keeps getting more (cosmic scale factor)
Now image our galaxies as raisins on the dough being drifted apart due to stretching.
Gravity is the force preventing dough from getting thin and keeping stuff together.
Time could be explained the process of space being stretched. The faster the space is stretched the faster the time passes by.
Since gravity has kept the dough thick, it takes more time for everything to move in it, hence slowing the passage of time.
The accepted theory suggests otherwise that gravity stretches space-time causing photons to travel longer distance with same speed hence decreasing passage of time.
But imagine photons traveling much more distance(unstretchable space) with slower/same speed to cause decrease in passage of time.
