! Moderator Note agachak, You have been told time and time again not to open these threads. If it continues, you will be suspended from posting here. Thread closed.

! Moderator Note ...closed.
-
! Moderator Note MahaMon, You are not allowed to create posts or threads purely for the purpose of advertising other threads or external websites. If you wish to discuss your hypothesis, then please do so here and please provide evidence for your claims.

Good lord. Firstly, I have to assume you are talking to me and not John Cuthber, who has no profile picture and does not feature in this thread. Secondly, my profile very clearly states my age and gender, neither of which correspond to my avatar (which is of an American chemist by the name of Robert Burns Woodward). ! Moderator Note Finally, you were warned about sticking to the topic and making it clear what this thread was about. You have ignored those requests and this thread is now going in circles of ridiculousness, so I'm closing it.
-
Is this thread about homeopathy or about MahaPathy?
-
! Moderator Note litmus, Firstly, please endeavor to place your threads in more appropriate places. This has nothing to do with science and is perhaps better placed on another forum. This being said, the thread is completely nonsensical and is being closed temporarily pending staff review.
-
For the last time, litmus, what is this thread about?
-
No, I mean you should answer the questions asked of you or have the thread closed.
-
SFN came into being in 2002, IIRC. Now could you possibly get back on topic?
-
How is 'works astonishingly in some cases' any different to someone getting better by random chance or by natural and totally unrelated mechanisms? And really, the only mystery in homeopathy is why so many people still think it's any more than drinking a glass of water.
-
Right, so could you now try to answer my questions? Also, scienceforums.net was absolutely not around in 1977.

Scrutinizes brain identities by some magic, or scrutinizes mutual friendships and personal data you input into their system with whatever algorithm they use for such purposes? Which one do you honestly think makes more sense here? And again I have to ask, are you aware of the existence of computer science? I also find it laughable that you find what you assumed was me suggesting that the Facebook team reads minds to be utterly outrageous when this entire thread is about you saying that Facebook members use telepathy to find their perfect friend match. Finally, can you please answer my question on what this thread is actually asking/proposing? Is this strictly about what you think is telepathic communication between Facebook users of the world or do you have a genuine question about how the Facebook administration spits out friend recommendations?
-
! Moderator Note Semjase, Please do not hijack other threads with your own nonsense.
-
Well since this forum demands that you produce evidence to support your claims and you appear to have none (truly, I am surprised), this thread is closed and you are not permitted to reopen it.
-
It doesn't matter which brand of crack pottery you invoke, the point remains that there is no need to resort to those sorts of explanations when it can very easily be explained by pattern recognition software and/or some other algorithm. You are aware of the existence of computer science and programming, are you not? I have to ask if you legitimately believe that the friend recommendation function on Facebook operates via telepathy? If so, then this thread needs to be moved and if not, could you clarify your question some more?
-
! Moderator Note I am very much struggling to see any semblance of a point in this thread. Litmus, can you make it a bit clearer what you are trying to suggest and discuss here and following on from that, please could you provide actual evidence to support any and all claims. If you can't do that, this thread will be trashed.
-
! Moderator Note I've moved this thread to Speculations. namisthebabe, you will need to provide evidence to support your claims or this thread will be closed.

immortal has been banned due to persistent use of various logical fallacies and being a general annoyance.

! Moderator Note You have a thread for this (here). -
If you flush with straight MeOH, it may come off (but it will come off with other things). I agree with Fuzzwood though, your problem is likely that you didn't pretreat. Also, you really don't need that much TEA. When I've done it in the past, I've pretreated with 5% TEA and then eluted with 1-2%. Also, did you pretreat your TLC plates?
-
! Moderator Note We're only going to let you spout ridiculous assertions and avoid the call for evidence so many times, Semjase. This thread is locked and you are not permitted to reintroduce the topic.

Unless it is legally available for free, then I'm afraid the only advice you're going to get here is to buy it. -

hypervalent_iodine replied to Mike Smith Cosmos's topic in Speculations
! Moderator Note Popcorn, I hardly think you need to be told again not to drag this into discussion about your computer program. This is just another friendly reminder that you have a thread for that and you should stick to posting things related to it there rather than here (or anywhere else). Thank you.
