Hm. I would say catalytic hydrogenation of the carbonyl with Pd, followed by some serious dehydration / hydrogenolysis might do the trick. No, in fact a decent scientist would not presume to know the results of their experiments ahead of time and instead takes an impartial standpoint and lets the evidence tell the story. Anything less is inherently dishonest and not worth the time of day. You don't say.

In that time, here's what I want you to do: go and look up what evidence actually is, perhaps a few examples of what that might constitute and heck, while we're at it, maybe you could read our rules and then go on and pick up a few new tricks about how not to post logical fallacies. Since this thread has gone around in wild circles and devolved into the same dribble that got this thread closed, I'm using precedence and common sense to close this one too.
