Maybe what im getting at is their tollerance to radiation is NOT THE ONLY reason for their surivial.
Where they hide, and being detritivors is also a factor.
To back up my argument I have some quotes here;
On big things;
"Shes Made out of Iron, sir, i assure you, she can sink" That dude in titanic.
"Shes breaking up Captain, she kanna take it anymore" Scotty in Startrek
"Come on babe, dont do this to me" many people talking to their cars.
On small things;
"Poor little fella" Rolf Harris
Thats my take on why mother earth is called mother earth anyway.
No some wackos (sorry, string theorists), believe that the "extra" mass (i.e. mass we cant account for) is gravity leaking in from other universii in this infinitley big multiverse.
im working on it. Its a partiall truth i think, they can survive underground, where the radiation is weaker, but still enough to kill a human.
The myth that most people think that if you nuke a roach it wont die, it will.
yes it can, this sounds like the "tortiose" arguement (allthough she called them turtles), if you are un-aware of this argument, ill gladly fill you in. Especially as you say it must "rest on something"
well chimps have the mental age of a 3yr old. Do we experiment on 3 yr olds?
BTW this debate has already been run. (i vaguely remember yt yelling at me for calling humanity, arseholes )
Cockroaches having a radiation tolerance is an urban myth.
What they do do however is live in deep cracks underground in concrete, and in the event of a nuclear war, they would (after pretty much the world is destroyed) colonise the world.
Why Cockroaches? They are detritivours, and there aint gonna be much else left. (at least until plants grow again, but by then cockroaches will have colonised the earth). Plus cockroaches breed really fast.
Are you thinking of the Roche Limit? I.e. give it no angular momentum on here and it will orbit indefinitly, do, and it will escape or fall in depending on which side you push it.
Inside the roche limit, anything that tries not to escape, will not.
Generally speaking it was US that gave THEM the diseases in expansionist times, not the other way round.
If they are gonna american-ise and s*** things up, lets at least see some fricking nukes!
