  1. different smells and tastes are interpreted by triggering certain combinations of receptors. so, i guess different chemicals trigger different types of receptors.
  2. I always encounter this idea in philosophy. i think i would consider lucid dreaming the same as waking life or lucid dreaming be another reality if the two feels the same. I mean, i never got confused about my reality and my dream.
