"Scientific" Evidence for Creation
carol replied to MoMo's topic in Evolution, Morphology and Exobiology
There is no way to have a scientific evidence for creation, IMO. I don't think the conditions can be recreated and there are a lot of things to be considered. Yes, creationists have fashioned the idea of intelligent design. But I think they can only come up with analogies. The existence of extraterrestrial beings wouldn't disprove the existence of a creator, IMO. And the accounts of creation shouldn't also be taken literally. People who wrote them in the past considered only the things that are based on what they can see and what they believe during their time. -
I've been wondering, can someone do something to make himself smarter? Or is there a limitation to one's ability to learn or his intellect?

I think, its because CO2 is gaseous. If you are able to collect the gas and weigh it, it would give the mass that you are looking for.

I believe that the reaction to tickling depends on how heavy the tickle is and the relationship of the one that tickles to the person being tickled. try reading this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tickling

The Universe, Never ending, Never Starting
carol replied to dude2k5's topic in Astronomy and Cosmology
Is this related to the concept of infinite time? -
I haven't thought of the answer to this yet. A man once said: "2 days ago, I was 18. Next year I'll be 21." when was the man's birthday, and when was the statement made?

I think it's a misnomer, and I agree that it doesn't sound like a legitimate scientific term. However, when I encounter that term, it is usually written "dead-end". So, I think they are just trying to give a name for the concept to be easily understood. Atm, no other animals evolved from the poriferans, and rodents, and birds too. So, I think they should say all of them have a "dead-end" evolution. I don't know why they don't include rodents and birds.

the ones with double bonds tend to be liquid at room temp.

our assignments, reports, projects, (I felt mortified after knowing that all my hardwork to finish my report come into this) and everything, on paper undergo stripping. then, the strips are collected, weighed and sold. those who bought it, convert it into pulp, undergo some processes, until it can be made into thin sheets of paper (letter, legal, whatever size). Then, it can be sold again. I think that's how it works.

I think it is said to have a dead-end evolution because it is believed that no other animals evolved from this group.

Recyling shops buy them. actually, there is no need of having to strip the papers but I think the price is higher.

cornified means keratinized. As cells approach the outermost part of the skin, keratin is deposited. This provides protection and prevents desiccation.
-
Some recycling shops in our place buy bottles, some scrap metals, and plastics. So, what we do is save our junk so that we can sell them to these shops and earn money. Our school have paper strippers. They also earn money from the paper strips.

Are case studies credible? I mean there are a lot of protocols I have encountered that are somewhat related to this and a lot of people have testified to their effectiveness, but I never believed them because they never really made people understand clearly how it works. Plus, I am surrounded by people who would easily believe a thing their friends told them.

I love watching animes and I'm a little fanatic, so basically when my mind drifts or I have nothing to do, I would imagine myself in one of these. I often use Alice Academy in my imaginings. Its childish but I'm still young so I think its ok. Pheromone alice and technical ability alice are so kewl!

I have leaned in microbio that a dye called reazurin can be used to detect oxygen. It turns pink in the presence of oxygen.

you posted it twice... more and more people are thinking the end of time is near, I agree to that. the article was to warn the world for possible outcome of the decreasing supply of fish. however, its just a possibility and it might not be probable.

I don't know. If you mean pee right after drinking water, its not always true, but it usually happens. I think its related to change in body temperature because we often urinate when its cold. And, it might just be psychological too (you would feel like peeing if you see a stream of water).

Good point. IMO cloning started after some progress in DNA technology. It started with the people's attempt to answer their "what if's". And then, they realized that it might just be the solution to most of our problems.

From an agriculturist's point of view, it would be nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium

I think it is. its a pigment that reflects the green light and therefore appears green when viewed under all wavelengths. but if there is only red light, i think chlorophyll would appear gray since red is absorbed.

Actually, I had second thoughts about that link but I said what the heck, I might as well hear what you might think about it.
