  1. Under the 2009 Stimulus Bill, States were obligated to pay up to 50% of the extensions and would be if anything else came from that bill. These Stimulus/Jobs Bills, think the forth since the Stimulus are all Federal Money, not co pay from the States, unfunded and not falling under pay-go, because Congress has declared this emergency spending. This bill, allows people on unemployment to collect up to 126 WEEKS, where the limit had been 99 weeks and it's retroactive, I'm not sure how far back. In simple terms, it's SAID 3 Million people will receive 300.00 per week, but their already talking about an additional Bill in November. Remember, when and there is no doubt when, when is, this money runs out EVERYBODY on unemployment over the normal States requirements, will no longer receive anything. Since nobody was allowed benefits past 99 weeks, and hitting that figure or close would be eligible for 27 additional weeks. If 3 Million that's about another 900M$ weekly benefit Federal expense, not including other benefits offered by the Federal and in some cases, the States. From the Summers, which I'm argued out on. If a person can get the equivalent of 5-600 a week in cash/benefits for doing nothing or working under the table, they are not going to accepts a job that pays the same and in many cases, much more. That to me is an artificial economy by the Federal, and it cannot be sustained or maintained, not to mention the long range cost involved.
  2. Marat; Interesting case... Canadian case is R. v. Singh (2007). Substance of the case;
  3. CR; Before signing in, I can Navigate, as I always have here and only after signing in do any problems occur. Google ad's and all, alone CAN'T be the problem. In fact when clicking to the next page, googleads while not registered, the command just clears itself (stops) and I move on. Also, best I can recall, you have had ads on all pages for at least a couple years and has never been a problem. I don't know what's been added or would any guess from me likely make sense, other than possibly, something is not adaptable to other than HS providers.
  4. Phil; Question, not wanting to discuss this issue. If sex has nothing to do with taking showers, why do we provide separate facilities for Men & Woman? If the answer is some of each gender (otherwise known as SEX) may feel uncomfortable placed in that position, then where is the difference between heterosexual and same sex men or woman enter the picture? As a male, whether I'm attracted to males or females, I'm not going to feel comfortable openly showering with either, that simply might sexually turn me on or may turn them on. Zolar; Public restroom, public pools, gyms and so forth, normally have booths or curtains. No new type a facility would be needed and if privacy, for any number of reasons (not limited to sexual orientation) can be maintained. Actually, I'm not sure how much potential exist for exposure anyway, except for my basic training in the USAF (1950's) our barracks had stalls or single bathrooms for 2-4 people and in nearly all 4 years, I showered and used the toilet in private. Has something really changed all that much? Seems like guys and gals in many Higher learning facilities have joint facilities, but privacy is maintain if desired, lock the door.
  5. Adding interrogation to the last paragraph of my last post, this thread and you can answer 99% of the major problems to the process of most all illegitimate convictions.
  6. I miss spoke in "google leads", all that shows is "googlea" and read it as goog lea, assuming leads. Since only one google A is NEW, then the problem would either be my computer or that addition. I now do know that same googlea appears at other sites this problem occurs. I just wrote formed a post for another sub forum, signed in, said successful and was redirected to the original page, still about three minutes, but was not signed in. I don't know if it was needed, but did reboot, got back on and made my post. If possible and it doesn't interrupt anything, you might want to drop that program for a day (with out telling anybody) and if there is a difference, your posters will respond. Actually the figures your going to get from this poster won't be accurate, since I've signed in far more time than would have been necessary. Does 'Google Analytics' work for both those signed in or not (in any way)? I have only been here on this session and just ran the tracking scan, with these confirmations, if it means anything to you....@doubleclick.net/, @2o7.net/, @insightexpressia.com/ and Ophan Cookie clean up.
  7. This is frankly getting silly (word games), in my mind; In my early years, I recall my folks, grand folks, virtually every teacher in the early grades mentioning this fable and as explained then remains today...
  8. rigney; Don't take iNow too seriously, it's in his nature to sometimes just be obnoxious and this has been true for 5 years, that I know of. His six shooter has too many notches (kills/lost posters)to count and he is just looking for the next kill. Maybe some day I'll bring this back an old post of his, where he admits to enjoying that feeling... "Playing word games", which he hates to hear, the Golden Goose by your definition should be either the Declaration of Independence (1776) or the writing of our Constitution and second US Government around 1790, 234 or 220 years ago. Nothing really happened in 1710, as the culture and traditions of this Country had been and continued to develop, under British Rule until 1776. Additionally, was his comment on your son's pictures (value), but we do both owe him some thanks for explaining how the process works, not that I understand the process or frankly care. Your doing fine and I hope you'll continue to explain and voice your opinions of what life was in our day on a personal level.
  9. iNow; It's a little difficult debating/discussing any issue with a moving target to start with, but then to arbitrarily disregard evidence as 'not relevant', when to me it's the subject being discussed is directly related, continuing seems futile. At this point, I'll offer you my closing argument for consideration, on this thread, BECAUSE you have also taken a good deal of time, for whatever reason.... The above link, indicates that the Corporate Structure, has INCREASED cash on hand, during a major slump/recession in the economy, currently not expecting to return to pre recession employment until 2012 OR LATER. I'll leave it to your imagination, why this sentiment exist, but one thing is for sure, stimulus has not changed their attitude. I'm not particularly a believer in 'Consumer Sentiment' reports (based too much on a current News Cycle), but it may reflect the confidence of a share of the Consumer in turn, small business or potential start up business. If you like check it out, noting these figures in 1980-82, 1991-2, 2000-02 and 2007-8 and disturbing to me, 2009 to date. http://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/series/UMCSENT/
  10. rigney; Rather than going back over the "birther" question, leading up to the election and all it involved, once elected and confirmed by Congress, that question has been mooted. Even if later proved he was born outside the US, or had a different name than used to get elected or in deceived the electorate in getting elected, nothing being done by Government (Executive being the administration and enforcement) could or would be illegal on those grounds. Since I feel your real question is the HCB... Taking "legitimate" out of the picture, then any legislation (Congress), the entirety or any part can and very often is tested through the legal system, if some one or thing can 1ST demonstrate being harmed or that harm is inevitable (hard to prove)and then because of that legislation. As for the HCB (Congressional Legislation), I believe somewhere over 30 States have started legal action for different reasons and/or hoped results (State Rights/Mandating State Co-payments or on behalf of individuals forced to buy a service). Having said this those are parts of the 3000 page law, soon to be volumes of law and will not invalidate the "Bill" in total. There is only one process, I'm aware of that can overturn the legislation and that's it repeal, which is also contestable and questionable if any political party can achieve, even if willing. Another talked about action falls under funding, which would take a majority of both chambers of Congress and until at least 2013 with the majority to over ride a VETO. Since SS (1936) Medicare/Medicaid (1965) have been tested and found Constitutionally legal (as argued) and the HCB is itself an add on to that previous legislation (in part), IMO the idea of overturning the entirety is unlikely. From here, it get a little hairy and argumentative, I do believe certain parts can be overturned, but in overturning them, the end result would simply allow a 'Single Payer System' and exactly what I thing is/was intended. To complicated this, Congress could pass an Amendment, leaving out the Executive, but this would require a 2/3rd vote both chambers (improbably, but possible), then ratification by 3/4th the States. How this would be written or offered is above my expertise, but the best approach.
  11. P; I have to believe the State Legislatures know and understand their State, the peoples sentiments, laws and would represent to will of the people, better than the Representation sent by a population maybe 5-10 or 40 years in the past. Anyway the thought pertains to certain cases, repeated below....
  12. It's premature to criticize the changes for three reasons; Those involved certainly have done so with good intentions, I'm sure there is and will be problems that will get ironed out and getting use to any new system can be uncomfortable. I remember when Poker Sites made some major changes a few years back, I almost dropped out, but after awhile, the system ended up better and became more enjoyable. As Moon, my initial thoughts fall to navigating the system, dial up having little to do with anything and I'm on dial up. Navigation will be a problem, until getting familiar is accomplished, but I do think you have changed what was the easiest forum model to work with, or maybe changed to many 'wordings'.
