Vessel 1:- I have a cylinder, full of water, with a volume of v. This cylinder has a full sized door at the bottom of it. I understand that if the door is opened the the force of water pushing downwards is the weight of the water in the cylinder.
Vessel 2:- It is cylinder with a cone on the bottom of it. Part of the cone has been cut off to create an opening for the water to come out but a door is attached. The volume of this vessel is also v.
Question:- If the door of the second vessel is opened does it still have the same force of water pushing downwards?
