  1. Simply put this is how I look at it. It should be the owner of the property's decision more than anything else. If a business, like a bar, flower store, or whatever wants to allow it then everyone else that doesn't want to be around that shouldn't go there. More and more and this government lives, talking about the U.S. bc I live there, seem to think it should be the governments decision to get rid of things for us that we are up in the air about. A lot of people are back in forth on this. I think that shouldn't matter. It isn't the laws decision to tell us what the rules are. As a government of the people we should make the rules. It shouldn't be their decision what we do that effect our bodies. And yes I'm aware of the argument of second hand smoke. Anything that is public transport, government run, and things like that I understand a ban there, but past that the decision should be based on who owns the property and if you don't like it don't give them your business.
  2. Lol I obviously have got some learning to do when it comes to my heritage but thanks I'll remember that. I've been putting a lot of time too and I plan to for the next few days. I think it would be great to know a new language and how good it is for my Brain XD Its pretty much for fun. And in the scenario in the future where I might need to learn a new language for a job or something. Plus I would like to learn a language like Chinese but with how hard it is, I could use this as my first step if not into that, but into harder languages like Hungarian, ect. ect.
  3. Idk lol. I just have a lot of Italian in me. I just have been told the main races in me are German, Dutch, and Italian. I really don't know much about my heritage. I apologize if I'm incorrect lol. & Thank you everyone for your input. I thought about it long and hard and started Italian this morning. I think bc of its easy transition to Spanish it seems to be the way to go.
  4. So its pretty simple. All I know is English, and lately I've read in several different studies when it comes to the brain knowing a different language is very useful in a lot of different ways. Any suggestion of what I should try to learn. I have an interest in Italian as I'm 1/3 Italian. But also I think Chinese would be nice, I just don't know how difficult it would be to learn. Any suggestions? And what all languages do you know & how was your experience learning them?

  6. They did an experiment in France and Britain on people with X-SCID ans used hematopoietic stem cells as vectors and that ended up causing Leukemia in 5 people that under went the gene therapy. So its obvious that stem cells play a role in types of cancer, it just seems no one knows how serious of a roll.
  7. Well with the lift on the ban of federal funding I've read that there is a lot of new possibilities that could be found, but at the same time I've read that it could cause cancer as well. This is all speculation of course, but do you have any idea how far away this could be? Sorry about all the questions, I just want to know as much as I can lol.
  8. Found this on Wiki - Somatic cell nuclear transfer, known as SCNT, can also be used to create embryos for research or therapeutic purposes. The most likely purpose for this is to produce embryos for use in stem cell research. This process is also called "research cloning" or "therapeutic cloning." The goal is not to create cloned human beings (called "reproductive cloning"), but rather to harvest stem cells that can be used to study human development and to potentially treat disease. While a clonal human blastocyst has been created, stem cell lines are yet to be isolated from a clonal source. - It seems like IMO it is very possible if it had the needed funding it would already have been accomplished. With how important stem cells are in curing people I think this needs to be a much stronger focus in medical science.
  9. Names Cameron. I'm learning more and more about science and my interest in it is semi new. I'm a biology major and hope to one day make a difference and if not I want to learn a lot for myself anyways. Nice to meet everyone.
  10. Well first things first I'm new so hi to everyone. I was reading about Stem Cells and something came to mind and I was wondering what the posibilites were with this. So when it comes to cloning we are able to do more and more. I was just simply wondering if it would ever be possible to be able to clone stem cells from Embryonic Cells. If that was possible wouldn't that end all the controversy and make things much easier in the fight to legalize them (I'm unbiased one way or the other).
