  1. What a pity. http://edition.cnn.com/2004/TECH/science/07/07/environment.israel.corals.reut/index.html
  2. So is that it for Fafalone? I didn't see him anywhere on that list nor on the website for a while now(since he lost the admin position).......
  3. Looove it when people claim to have something that they don't.
  4. Lol, I take it this is coming from your personal experience of the guy?
  5. That still is a good idea. Bring him here, so that we can rip him appart.
  6. Well, then why don't you try teaching a language to one. You've ever seen the movie "Congo"? Well, the guerilla using ASL was not science fiction(maybe the device was). Chimps have been taught a limited version of ASL, and then nature took over. They(chimps) took the ASL language that they were taught and created new and more colourful communication and forms of expression. But I'm sure you Knew that both before and after your last post, riiiiiiight?
  7. I suggest you look up work done by Jane Goodall and other fellow primatologists. Let's not take this into the realm of stupidity. But even so, a Chimp can be tought to do a great many things. I'm not going to go into the details, but for a better example, one where you don't have to read anything, when was the last time you've seen a circus?
  8. "The page cannot be found" Why am I not surprised that the linky is a dud?
  9. I got to give you this, ExtraSense, You are persistent and for whatever reason, very committed to your idea(s). That alone is enough to warrant you some kind of a kudos.
  10. I take it you did not go to that website, but here's a quote from it:
  11. If albertlee - (coder) wrote a short program, but at the very top left a GPL statement, I who download the program afterwords you posted on the internet can not or should not modify your GPL.
  12. I was trying to place that into an 'out of context' perspective, so no, you're safe there. I brought up the notion in #7, and you did something I felt lazy to do so myself in # 13, you elaborated on #7.
  13. Uhm, I think that since JaKiri does have a Ph.D in Physics and is an active researcher/teacher, he may not need to read that book, but that's just my wild speculation. Although I need to get it myself.
  14. Yeah it's called the GPL. You don't 'obtain' it. You simply take the code someone wrote before you, you may modify the code in any way shape or form, but do not modify the coder's before you coments/signature/or rules. Here's a much better version of the above said: http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html
  15. Well, Microsoft likes to keep their source code to themselves and if by god you want access to it, they will charge you an arm and a leg(quite litteraly) or simply tell you to buzz off. Macs are completely proprietary so no on this as well. Unix w/ the exception of FreeBSD(Darwin) is not open source. Linux is 101% open source, well there are some commercial apps(they have to be purchased as opposed to downloaded, etc) that are not open source under Linux, but still the great majority of it is open source.
  16. Thank you, JaKiri, for the assist. Great info and great help you've provided me with.
  17. Uhm, I guess this was addressed to me. I was basing it on this quote: http://www.damtp.cam.ac.uk/user/gr/public/qg_ss.html So in light of the above quote, is the word, idea, concept(whatever) of Infinite IS or IS NOT meaningless in Physics?
  18. Isn't a value that is Infinite (especially in Physics) is meaningless?
  19. Ok, sry about the gravity thing. But from what you guys said that these 7 extra dimentions are Calibi-Yau space, and they are all the same? Or is there (any hypothesised) variations within the Calibi-Yau space? If so, they why is there a need for 7 of the identical items, more or less?
  20. I though it was something like: space, time, gravity, etc Or am I way off here?
  21. That's an interesting proposition. As J'Donna said, considering how many factors are involved in this game, anything is possible.
  22. Speaking of which, since I'm not into physics(beyond a mild curiosity) but can you tell me what the 11 dimentions are in the superstring theory?
