  1. HTTP header?? isn't it just a protocol?? confusing.
  2. But how is the mimetype sent??
  3. I have learned HTML long time ago, but I feel bad about myself when some one tell me to use MimeType and Meta-tag, which I don't know what they are. Any one use Meta-tag and Mimetype before?? just need the experience and I can probably grasp soon thanks Albert
  4. You say they are both bad?! Albert
  5. Hello all, I like to surf on the Internet looking for IT related information. Just about few minutes ago, I came to this webpage: http://www.realbasic.com/users/java/ I skimmed quite alot on that website, and I found that realBasic is a programming language, sounds like perfect in every aspect of developer's perspective. However, I guess it is not a popular programming language, which, must have certain reasons for that consequence I believe. Nonetheless, I have read through particularly the page above. What they are trying to say is how superior realBasic is over Java, with reasons of security and cross-platform. For cross platform, it tells Java has failed on it, because Java is hard to deploy, and use non-standard Gui userinterface, but, it is unclear to me that what does it mean by hard to deploy?? As a result, I don't see why Java is a failure in cross-platform, because think about the mobile's games. Btw, however, honestly, I don't see much desktop programs written in Java, except a few, for eg, Limewire, a p2p program. Does any one know why?? Secondly, for security, it tells Java program is easy to crack due to its bytecode, which can be "uncompile" into source code again. Once again, still subjective, the Java JustInTime compiler does compile Java into native code. What are you guys' opinions towards the issue of RealBasic and Java?? thanks for anticipating my thread. Albert
  6. Finally, I have asked my chem teacher, and she said that she doesnot know how specifically that Calcium released its first electron in the 1st place, because she did not design the question herself, but however, she thinks that there is certain factor for exmple, pressure, that chemists apply on calcium to make it more "controllable" or less reactive, so calcium becomes only accepting to loose one more electon to the florine bit, to release its bond with scandium. Maybe you guys have better explanation now?? Albert
  7. You mean I can learn alot just by trying to make the OS unbootable and reinstalling windows??
  8. Hmm, 5614, what books do you read to know in such extent about Windows?? There isn't any much book talking in a very depth about Windows, unless you commit yourself in programming alot in windows API, and read a big, boring book about Windows INternals. Albert
  9. thanks for pointing that out DQW, I just have bad days this few weeks that I consider a black period of mine this year, which is composed of a serie of unfortunate events. I can't believe why I have done the balanced equation wrongly since I was reasuring myself so much. Nonetheless, I would ask my teacher again, and see if there's anything you guys might want to know. Albert
  10. thanks Jdurg, but what do you mean that elemental calcium has a charge 0?? Isn't it 2+?? for pure calcium?? Secondly, Do you guys know what is the difference between Metal and Transition Metal?? The only thing I know is Transition Metal is more stable than Metal, but any more significant difference?? Apreciate any response Albert
  11. "The main ore of scandium is thortveitite, Sc2Si2O7. This is converted into scandium fluoride, which reacts with calcium to produce scandium metal. Balance the ionic equation for the eaction between scandium fluoride and calcium: ...Ca^+ + ...Sc^3+ -----> ...Ca^2+ + ...Sc" The above is the origininal question.... How would you do it?? Albert
  12. Hmm, guess my answer is wrong, for 30- 30/27 cm......
  13. PrimaryGun, is this the reason you send me a PM with a 'hi'??
  14. Can you explain clearer, Crash?? what do you mean +2 the reaction wouldnot take place??? Albert
  15. the big cone volume = (pi)r230 * 1/3 = (pi)r210 what is the ratio of its height to volume? 30cm : (pi)r210 cm3 which is: 3cm : (pi)r2 cm3 note that the height of the maller cone is directly proportional to its volume. what's the volume of the smaller cone? big cone volume / 27, right? therefore, is: (pi)r210 cm3 / 27, which is: (pi)r2(10/27) cm3 the height thus will be, according to the ratio of height and volume, 3 / (pi)r2 * (pi)r2(10/27) = 3 * 10/27 = 30/27 cm Albert
  16. Btw, please don't hesitate to ask me further details concerned with the complete question...
  17. I was given the task to write the balanced reaction of scandium fluoride reacting with calcium, but in ionic equation. However, I dont know what is it, even when I looked up the answer. it looks like 3Ca+ + Sc3+ ----> 3Ca2+ + Sc what is it all about?? I mean, on LHS, why is Ca +?? isn't it 2+?? Albert

    IQ Society!

there is no gigasociety on the web. by the way, BLB, it is your "MASS" not "weight" I wished my IQ is at least same as my weight, what? an IQ of 490??? ha!~
  19. I feel you should make some efforts on yourself, asking you teacher, for example. nonsense.
  20. You are like saying, "how am I approached to English Punctuation". I can tell you what is intercept and gradient, but not system of equation, it is just something flexible in the sense of mathematical logic, making algebraic term meaningful to you, and thus form a meaningful serie of equations to solve certain problem. 1) intercept, the y value, which the line cross the y axis. For example, y = x+5, if x is 0, the point situates at y value 5, which is the intercept, or y= x2 + x - 2, then if x is 0, -2 is the intercept, again, where the line cross the y axis. 2) gradient, as simple as: (y value - intercept)/(corresponding x value) Respond if you dont understand Albert
  21. Hi, I have some questions related to this High IQ societies.... sorry if it is abit off-topic Is the High IQ society real goal really to promote communication between smart people??? that society says that its members have a chance to assist coperative govenments, but for which country? USA??? (I am not an American) I have accessed to highiqsociety.org/, and I passed one of its admission test, but it requires money to become a member, although permanent. I asked my parents whether I could join, but their first thought was something negative, They felt the goal is not as what it is, but with different intrigue (like with different other purpose behind the scene, you know what I am talking about, MONEY) and thought how on earth is so easy to go to such a society if it exists in any way, partially because they thought I am not smart, in their perspective. Is it good or bad to join such a society?? any opinion?? thanks Albert
  22. you are right, Dave... after I formatted the drive, GetDataBack found no files at all from the state before I formatted.
  23. By the way, the software I am using right now is GetDataBack, which I managed to retrieve data, but the data arent situated in their original directory, instead it situates in, for example, directory like 001E0A, or 002766.... and so on Any way, what is the best way for you guys to back up your data????
  24. I guess I should check the drive quick, because I had like what it is now for a long time, and I have used it as a P2P downloading drive..... I hope the data have not been over written...
