Mathematics is a MUST DO for Computer science - and as for programming languages you can start with BASIC - really simple, English-like syntax, although you might want to learn something a bit more advanced like Java, C++ or .NET languages - Visual Basic 2010, Visual C++ 2010 etc. These can be really easy to learn: Lua, Basic and Visual Basic 2010. Yes, an inflationary model.

You need to put some function that'll wait for user input or set program to wait at that point for text to stay on the screen of the console. return 0 exits the program immediately.

Possibly, yes.

Whats the most dangerous chemical you have used / seen?
Djordje replied to RyanJ's topic in Applied Chemistry
Acetone Peroxide - easy to make, did it once, unstable - 2 grams ignited by friction of paper bag it was in - friend got little burned Aqua regia - solution of HNO3 and HCl in proportion 1:3 - extremely corrosive (gold dissolves in it). -
What is transcendental can't be proven because every statement we make about transcendental has the counter-statement that is as likely to be true as the original statement. I believe this is the best answer to your question.

So as I said, the host should say (and as my experience had shown me): "Do as you want." and it's up to guest to decide whether to take 'em off or not. If the guest can take off the shoes he should do as I said in my post above - if it's not medically possible or for any other good reason then he shouldn't take 'em off (but still make sure they're cleaned properly on doormat).

The universe is cooling, isn't it? Entropy is increasing, isn't it?

If you want to sketch the graph, you can use roots as cross-points of graph and x-axis, vertex as minimum or maximum (depends if a<0 [minimum] or a>0 [maximum]) and A(0,y) (as cross-point of graph and y-axis) where y is function's value for x=0 (IOW y=c).

A psychologist makes an experiment with a mathematician and a physicist. He puts a good-looking, naked woman in a bed in one corner of the room and the mathematician on a chair in another one, and tells him: "I´ll half the distance between you and the woman every five minutes, and you´re not allowed to stand up." the mathematician runs away, yelling: "in that case, I´ll never get to this woman!". After that, the psychologist takes the physicist and tells him the plan. The physicist starts grinning. the psychologist asks him: "but you´ll never get to this woman?", the physicists tells him: "sure, but for all practical things this is a good approximation."

I had taken seminars of English before (they were run by native English speakers) and I got to C1 of Common European Framework - my spoken interaction with classmates will be great I'm sure, I was only concerned whether it'd be OK for academic purposes. I already began listening to BBC just to be back in English As for notation, no worries
-
I'm only a bit concerned if I'll be able to fully understand lessons in English as I'm from MNE and I've never been to an English-speaking country.

I only did liquors so far... Does that count?

Baking powder and acetic acid is better, but the quantities released are quite small.

The guest should of course ask, and do as you say. My experience so far: whenever I went to someone, I always asked whether I should take my shoes of or keep them on. The host in 90% of cases said: "Do as you wish" and I'd do either keep 'em on or take 'em off depending on two things: 1. If I'm in a brief visit? (If so keep them on but only if they're not dirty) 2. If I'm there for a lunch or for a longer visit always take them off.

Gravity is an absolute law, therefore it shouldn't depend on time arrow. I have given an explanation why I think entropy would decrease in one of the posts above.
-
Well some estimate it to 15, or 10 billion... We could but we aren't as entropy still increases.

All written below is for ax^2+bx+c=0 x1=[-b+sqrt(b^2-4ac)]/2a x2=[-b-sqrt(b^2-4ac)]/2a If b^2-4ac=0 than the equation has only 1 solution, if b^2-4ac>0 than it has 2 solutions, if b^2-4ac<0 than it has no real solutions. Was this what you were looking for?

Thanks. Indeed every undergraduate course will accept it such as it is (with the exception of Oxford and Cambridge who have the entrance exams). I will quote Oxford's site: "Many students who apply to Oxford are taking A-levels but please note that any candidate who has already taken, or who is currently studying, any other equivalent qualifications is also most welcome to apply." I believe that I won't put myself into a disadvantage if I take the IB - it's a small chance for me to get it ( 9/45 schools offering the HMC scholarships offer IB and every year there's an increasing interest in IB). Whether I take IB or A-level, the most important thing is that I'm ready to get the most out of it.

I'm Djordje and I love pentesting, facepalming and playing basketball

IB is accepted worldwide and I still don't have a clue on what my specialization would be - I believe it'd be IT. I'm not yet sure so I decided to demand IB - still I might not get one and attend an A-level school in UK.
-
IB does offer a broader curriculum but less depth in those fields you're most interested in, while A-level like programmes really take it deep.
