ok . i have read tons of reviews on doom3. and from what i gathered there was no solid story line like in HL1/2 . the gameplay wasnt extensive. and the enviroments were too cramped compared to that of HL1/2 I actually tried to play HL1 . but WTF is with the opening sequence????!!!! i just gave up waiting for it to finish, and just got rid of the game. hehe. i have checked out the reviews on HL2 and it looks AMAZING.... Tried Deus EX.... just gave up on first level as i didnt like the graphics. as for NOFL1/2 whats that [edot] i tried to play HL1 Twice... and gave up both times due to the opening sequence[/eidt[

M(x,y)dx +N(x,y)dy=0? i dont get the equation. are you multiplying by differentials dx and dy, or are you trying to say derivative of M wrt x derivative of N wrt y.

about ur question about different means. i am not sure. its highly likely that you wont get a unbiased estimate if u used a different mean like geometric mean, harmonic mean. etc. at best u might get an asymptoptically unbiased estimator.

the mean in the formula is the sample mean, or if u have the population, then use the population mean. the actual form of standard deviation differs if ur calculating the population SD , or estimating the population from the sample SD in general. the formula where you divide by (n-1) gives you the unbiased estimator for SD if you only have a sample of the population

1) The frequencies of the other notes depend on the tuning. if you have a well-tempered instrument . the same music will sound different in different keys. (i.e the famous well temprered clavier -Bach). go to tomshardware. they have tons of reviews of portable players. there are better players on the market than ipod. ipod has the current monopoly. i cannot vouch for its sound output quality. and you have to work REALLY REALLY hard to keep it in prestine condition. But the quality of the finish is overwhemly good. the controls are very simple. there are functions like calendars and games. its all cool. and the white headphones. they cool
