Is it me or the word "Soccer" taking over UK media
bloodhound replied to bloodhound's topic in The Lounge
I have lived in UK for more than 5 years, and have never heard anyone i know here call it soccer. Also all these differences in spelling came about when Websters dictionary decided to distance themselves from the british colonial history (thats what i read on many sites anyway -

read the review on tomshardware. apparently the sound and the physics engine is highly inconsistent.

lets see. adobe lets ur embed the fonts in the pdf file, so that they come out alrite even if the fonts are not on the computer itself. html or others dont come out rite if there is no appropriate font. http://www.sheetmusicarchive.net is a wonderful site for piano sheet music.

I really like PDF's as most of the free sheet music on the net that are in PDF are of really high quality.

by what u have said, I would say that ur fren has a spyware problem. maybe even a virus, as some virus disable the resident scanner of popular AV's, and executing the on access scanners impossible. I never had such problem, so can't help you there. Your best bet would be to google for information. For spyware, I always start with the the trusty combo of Adaware and Spybot. I tend to keep away from downloading other software claiming to be spyware removal tools and they generally are malware. Some spyware are very virulent and are hard to get rid of , like CoolWebSearch, and you can find tools specifically designed to get rid of its variants. Also if u download HijackThis, and post its log up on security forums or over here, we may be able to help you The two tools above ive talked about can be found at http://www.merijn.org About YOUR security, altough NIS is fine, you could probably do with better software firewalls like ZA. altough it seems to conflict with the bit torrent client Azureus, so i dont have any firewalls running now. It should be ok if u connect to net through a router. For anti virus, I use Kaspersky has it has a high detection rate for BOTH viruses and trojans. most AV have a pathetic detection rate for Trojans. IF you are paranoid, you can always get a third party Anti-Trojan software like TDS or Taucan. Anyway , you should be alrite, as long as you dont go into any dodgy sites, like warez and crack sites, and they are full of trojan loaders. Its very handy also if you create a backup image of your hard drive using software like Nero BackItUp or Norton Ghost (Industy Stardard) on two or more CDs, so if you ever mess up ur comp, you can always restore ur computer in 5 mins. I find it very liberating , knowing that you can do almost anything on your computer and be able to go back. altough its quite a hassle going through all the updates.

I am completely baffled by this question as this is not at all easy for me. I have seen a similar question. instead of the car acceleraing in the st . line. u have a car going in a circle at constant speed. u have a balloon feelled with CO2 (or H2 or He can't remember) tied down to the centre of the cars interior. and the question asked which way does the balloon lean.

it seems like news readers and football commentators as well as the tabloids and taking to the word "soccer" nowdays. whenever i look at the tabloids , i see "SOCCER STAR SCANDAL!!!" or when i watch sports news , they say "Soccer star misses drugs test". etc.etc. Is it the demise of Football?

Day of the Triffids. very well written. I listened to the first part of the radio adaptation from BBC and was hooker. wasn't able to listen to the other parts, so looked for the book everywhere, and finally got it from my mate.

read a review from tomshardware. and they say that its just a graphics demo. not much gameplay.

talking about keyloggers, is it possible to detect a hardware keylogger (the type that bridges the keyboard to the actual port) without physically checking each computer on the network??
-
nope. its only you. i dont have any problems with acrobot reader. i find it highly convinient infact.

I am still able to select the fast skip error blocks. i got no idea my reader supports it. They should make alcohol check automatically and grey out the box if the function is not available. Also if u want to copy safedisc cds , you have to find out what "Sheep" rating ur drive is. i have a 2 sheep writer, so i have to disable the bypass EFM error in the writing options. if u have a one sheep writer you have to enable it. been round all the alcohol and clonecd forums finding stuff out.

yes indeed. thats where all the money is (apparently) . except i don't really enjoy stats. so when it is time for me to choose my modules its a massive battle between my personal enjoyment and the career prospects.

Doctor Doctor!! I think i may have cancer! I got these two huge lumps on my chest!

he does seem to have a good sense of humour.

the way i go to safe mode. is to go to start menu -> run and type "msconfig" and if u go to BOOT.INI tab. u will see boot options and there will be a /SAFEBOOT option. just check it and restart. if u wanna go back to normal, just follow the safe process and restart. and just go to general tab and select Normal Startup. Disclaimer: I am not responsible for anything that happens to your computer if u follow this advice
-
i assume u can go to task manager. see what processes are running under ur user name. and End the processes one by one, and see if u can start the net. once that done. note the process name and google it.

go scan ur computer online. http://housecall.antivirus.com/ http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/ http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/ and also download demos of other AV. try getting Kaspersky or NOD32.

LO, me from UK as well. Main interest in Maths, but generally into everything except gore. Very good looking site you have there .

how exactly does this quicksort algorithm work?
