Hi all,
Hope this is the right place to put this!
I'm a little confused as to the results of an experiment I have just completed. It involved taking vitamin C or E or a mixture of both and then measuring RQ, O2 consumption and CO2 production.
On the week of taking the vitamin E tablets, the RQ dropped dramatically as the O2 consumption increased. Any ideas as to why this happened?
Also, in the following two weeks (one of these weeks was taking vitamin C and E tablets together, and the final week was taking neither) the RQ went back to as it had been previously, but overall, the O2 consumption and CO2 production both had been reduced by a large margin. I'm struggling to think of reasons as to why this might have happened!
Any help would be greatfully appreciated!
Thanks in advance, Mink
