  1. First of all, as I wrote in first post: I had a debate with my acquaintance concerning the following issue: Is there any physical possibility that humans are under surveillance of extraterrestrials? Secondly: There are some evidence that ET's had already visited our planet in the past. (Erich von Deniken movies and books, Ancient Aliens series). May be some information they present is incorrect but some is very interesting. With respect.
  2. But how to make all these agents (crawling/flying?) and hidden bases totally invisible and undetectable (from our satellites, spy planes, just ordinary people). Besides, there is no evidence that someone has ever encountered such devices (and there are 7 bln people nowadays). Can someone, please, share some thoughts concerning these disguised agents? Thanks.
  3. I performed some rough calculations and came to conclusion that a telescope at the distance of say 1 l.y. from the Solar System shall have an aperture of 10 Suns in order to be able to observe the Earth surface equivalently to observation from a height of 100 m above ground. So, will it be correct to say that taking into account our knowledge of astronomy (and space observation data) that there are no gigantic telescopes [capable of resolving humans on Earth] in the diameter of say 100 l.y. from the Earth (or Sun)?
  4. Telescopes that have sizes of planets or stars will reflect light of stars (like moon, but much greater) and will be detected by our space telescopes because their brightness will vary. Besides, take into account speed of light. What's the purpose for ET's to get image from the Earth after, for example a million years. And the last: The sun is much brighter than the Earth so will it be really possible to get weak light reflected from the ground objects? Any suggestions?
  5. Hello everybody! Please, pay no attention to my bad English, because I’m non-native speaker. Just try to see the point. I had a debate with my acquaintance concerning the following issue: Is there any physical possibility that humans are under surveillance of extraterrestrials? By surveillance I mean observing individual people by means of optics with great magnification. Well, I believe it doesn’t happen. Here is my little analysis of this matter. Let’s imagine any possible ways of such surveillance and fantasize about them: 1. Optical telescopes in space (like spy satellites). Such telescopes need big aperture of main mirror to be able to discern individual people in high resolution. In such case they would have been detected by NORAD, Space surveillance network or possibly even tracked by ISS. 2. ET agents residing Earth. People, animals, etc. who are actually robots, used for surveillance. This is possible in theory but there are two problems: a. they can be figured out by other species of their kind (other people/animals) because of their suspicious behavior. b. Nobody has ever found such constructions. c. How do they transmit data back to their owners? Earth’s atmosphere is transparent only to visible light and radio waves. And there should be a receiver in space for radio signals. It can’t be ET’s satellite or spaceship (see clause 1). Besides, transmission of radio signals of unknown nature would have been promptly detected by scientists or military. 3. It can be alien UAV’s but in such case they shall be constructed to be invisible in the whole range of electromagnetic spectrum, which is impossible. Besides, they have to fly back and forth to space and Earth and would have been detected in such case (see clause 1). So, this is it. If anyone has any comments or suggestions to this little essay you are welcome to give feedback in which I am very interested. Thanks for your time.
  6. Hello everybody! First of all, please ignore my language mistakes, cause I'm non native speaker. My question is this: is it possible that a telescope in space (located at low orbit, high orbit or somewhere in space) which is mounted on spy satellite or ufo can discern (recognize) human's faces (i.e. "see", that is detect reflected light photons) and simultaneously be invisible (that is do not reflect light photons) for the ground telescopes and let's say hubble telescope? Take into account rotation of The Earth about it's axis and rotation around the Sun. Any corrections of my thoughts are welcomed. Many thanks in advance.
  7. According to the recent theory of expanding Universe the space-time itself (with all matter and energy) expands with acceleration. Metric_expansion_of_space
  8. Say, Hubble telescope has D:2400 mm of main mirror and magnification respectively 4800 (if I understand correctly it is 2xD in mm). angular resolution is 0.1 s I read this (Rayleigh), but can't understand how to correctly calculate the aforementioned conditions which I presented. I became involved with correct units of measurement. For example: The angular resolution may be converted into a spatial resolution, Δl, by multiplication of the angle (in radians) with the distance (unit?) to the object. For a microscope, that distance is close to the focal length f (unit?) of the objective. For this case, the Rayleigh criterion reads: .Maybe someone could find formulae where correlation between distance from telescope to object, magnification and spatial resolution can be easily seen...
  9. Hello everybody. 1. Object of what minimum size can we detect in space using optical telescopes and radiolocation? (and at what distance?) 2. What resolution shall have a telescope (on a satellite) to be able to clearly discern a face of a human on earth? How far in deep space from Earth can such satellite with telescope be placed to maintain it's ability to discern human faces on earth? Let's imagine that it moves simultaneously with the Earth's rotations. Thanks in advance.
  10. Well, I always thought that gravity works by curving space-time. And I see no way of differentiation of a person's gravitational field (curvature of space-time) from the Earth's one.
  11. Thanks Chris! But if I'am correct when we see sth (and build an image of this object) by means of x-ray, infrared, etc., i.e. by means of non-visible light we can't get the same picture as we actually see things. So it can be possible to build some kind of image by means of, say, gravity waves but this won't allow us to get the same image as we get by means of our eyes. Am I right?
  12. Thanks guys! I would rephrase my question: is there any physical possibility that god (as a person somewhere in outer space) can physically be all-seeing and see everything and everybody on earth surface and inside buildings. Though this notion of god is absolutely hypothetical still my question lies in scientific field (pure physical theoretical possibility) rather than in religious field. Again, I'm just theoritizing. Please consider this abstract situation only according to physical laws. do not consider miracles. p.s. As I already wrote I had argued with my colleague who studies in theological institute and who is eastern church orthodox and who believes in existence of all-seeing god. p.p.s. sorry for a heap of grammatical mistakes.
  13. Hello everybody. Thanks for your time and sorry for any grammatical mistakes cause I'm non native speaker The question is the following: Is there any physical possibility for any essence (creature) to see from some point in outer space any object on earth with the help of unknown particles or radiation (that is not by means of visible light to see through atmosphere, building roofs) and remain invisible in electromagnetic spectrum? I know the question is strange but it is connected with the issue of all-seeing and I have an argue about this issue with my colleague. (as you can understand we are not physicists ))) Thanks in advance.
