somebody's been reading a clockwork orange too many times.
you mean ultraviolet, not ultraviolent
certain wavelengths of radiation can cause O2 to break apart and form O3
oh, btw, the H2SO4 was probably more effective just because at high concentrations it acts as a strong dehydrating agent as well as a fairly strong oxidizing agent.
STOP TALKING ABOUT MAKING EXPLOSIVE CORROSIVE UNSTABLE ACIDS/OXIDIZING AGENTS
HI is the strongest of the halide acids. CsOH is the strongest of the alkali hydroxide bases.
there are other strong bases like alkali metals dissolved in ammonia.
grignard reagents, organolithium reagents, anions of terminal alkynes, alcohols, thiols, amines and ammonia are all nucleophiles
"Isn't class based affirmative action the same as quota's??
If I'm reading you right, all the classes through their money in the trough, then it's divied up with an equal quota to all classes.........No?"
no. this should be considered case by case. a poor kid is going to have more difficulties getting into a certain college than a rich kid. the poor kid should have the advantage
" Well...thanks for specifying."
it was implied
"If they have power, they were voted into it. That means they are not overrepresented. It's what the majority of the people wanted."
no chance for corruption or anything?
aardvark, i think i know roughly how the israeli political system works. you dont need to be condescending or anything.
in other news it appears we have differing opinions and i don't feel like spending time looking for articles, so it's pointless to continue debating considering the fact that there are no accepted facts
" I know that George Bush won the popular vote."
i was referring to 2000, mind you
"Israels electoral system works by proportional representantion. Each party is represented in the Knesset to the exact degree of the support recieved in the general election. It is impossible for Likud, or any other party, to be overrepresented.
To state that other parties are not significantly represented is also wrong.
Likud has 38 seats out of a total of 120 seats in the Knesset. Other parties have 82 seats. To state that 82 seats out of 120 means that 'there is not significant representation of the other parties' is simply wrong."
right; they don't have much representation in the knesset, but they control the executive branch. you just disproved your point
HF attacks glass in an acid-base reaction: the fluoride anions actually displace oxygen and bond to silicon. the oxygen bonds to the hydrogen.

you get the drift.
that wasnt my point. sure, there are many parties in israel, but the likud party is an overrepresented minority and there is not significant representation of the other parties
dude you seriously need to chill.
tell me what you know about peroxymonosulfuric acid.
first, you probably didnt use the correct procedure to make it. you have to be precise in making it; it forms an equilibrium that depends on exactly how you make it.
H2O2 + H2SO4 <--- ---> H2SO5 + H2O
your acid was moderately dilute. it also wasnt prepared properly. that is why it appeared to be weaker.
i'm not going to tell you the specifics of just how you are to make it, just because it is downright unpredictable if you make it correctly. not only is it incredibly corrosive but it also can explode easily, especially when in contact with organics
