It's Happening: A terrorist refuge on the net
budullewraagh replied to Aleph-Null's topic in Politics
that wouldnt be in the least justified. bush is a jackass and has actually supported terrorism in his presidency; he left the capture of bin laden to afghan warlords (who weren't inclined to capture him), and has ignored him and al-qaida since. add this to the growing number of pissed off iraqi civilians (those whose houses have been destroyed, those whose relatives have been killed) and youll find that we've created more terrorists than we have killed. -
speaking of people who have too much faith of those in power... you know, moore may have, just may have made f911 for the better good of the nation. you never know... perhaps thats why he removed it from the selections for the academy award, or perhaps thats why he continues to urge people to pirate his film online

your post means to tell me that you didn't read the latter two paragraphs of my last post. try again and see what you get from it

i'd use nitrates as the oxidizers, although permanganates and peroxides aren't so bad either. for colors, use salts, depending on what colors you want. i can give you more advice if you give me more details
-
so...hydrogen peroxide...
-
it's not so black and white. dont be so myopic
-
jdurg, you have radon?
-
oh, i do understand that there will be only a few u233 and u235 atoms, as mentioned above. i was just recognizing that fission (in very, very minute amounts) will occur. you wont get a bomb from pitchblende or even pure uranium unless it's mostly pure 233 or 235
-
actually in doing so you'd cause fission reactions, as a very small number of atoms in your sample would be u233 and u235, which are fissionable
-
yeah, my parents are short as well, which is amusing. anyway, i'll be expanding my lab as soon as i can earn about $250...which could take awhile. once i get the new stuff i'll probably move the lab to somewhere else

if everybody wanted to kill you you would be dead if i met you i would shake your hand, and probably not stab you the terrorist thing is mostly bs. i am completely positive that myself, as well as at least 5 other members of this forum, could make some pretty damaging bombs/toxic gases with the chemicals we have now. i am also positive that there are tens of thousands of people just like us in the US alone, but we are mostly rational people, and so are people in general. really, it's easy to make such chems as acetone peroxide, nitrogen trichloride (or tribromide or triiodide), nitroglycerine, trinitrophenol, pentaerithritoltetranitrate, trinitrotoluene, various mustard agents, armstrong's mixture, peroxymonosulfuric acid...and people can still make novichok agents, sarin (it's only the ester of an organofluorophospahte), ethyl perchlorate... but we don't do it. and almost nobody else does, or else we'd have sarin gas in our ventilation systems, ebola in our water supply and bombs going off everywhere
-
how is that strange?
-
yeah but mine's in my excessively dissheveled basement. there is almost no lighting, there is no ventilation whatsoever, and the ceiling is about 6 inches too short for my 6'2.5" frame

mardigan, you really have no idea what youre talking about. the confederate flag is a symbol of hatred and racism and "rebellion". the federalists saved our nation, as otherwise britain would have waged war against us 20-25 years after the revolution. as well, the republicans had the idea that individual states with almost no federal government was a good idea. well, our credit after the revolution was so poor that we could only borrow money from the dutch and french, and at incredibly high interest rates. jefferson debated with hamilton, but eventually washington chose hamilton's plan of assumption and the debt was eliminated shortly. this gained respect in europe, and they lifted their semi-boycotts on american goods. the republicans were pissed at assumption and the outcome of the whiskey rebellion, and the problems slavery was having in congress, and so they opted out of the union. it was hardly a "state rights" issue
-
i know what youre saying. im just saying that IF the marbles are 20,000cpm (which is possible) then youre not in a healthy atmosphere
-
just dont use permanganic anhydride or you'll be breathing ozone
-
what the hell? do you even know who pol pot was? he killed millions of the educated class. stalin supposedly killed millions (but we cant be sure that that wasnt just anti-communistic propaganda). hussein killed 5000 kurds 9 years ago. bin laden killed 2700+ american citizens and has destroyed various american things worldwide. you're talking about four totally different people.
-
oh man, can we have a vote for the most homeless lab ever? yup, that'd be mine:\
-
not particularly, but it depends on how much radiation is emitted from the marbles
-
...and the sudan genocide is happening NOW while anything large-scale in iraq ended 9 years ago
-
youd be surprised man. if it broke and you breathed any of it youd be really, really hurting
-
yeah, it's the radiation that is exposed to UV
-
...i wouldnt be telling them that...sorry guys but fluorine is not stuff you ever want to be exposed to. it is beyond lethal. it's an oxidizer from hell. when you are exposed to it it goes straight to your heart and kills you. fluorine is incredibly more dangerous than chlorine. dont mess with it. dont even try to get it.

so you're completely discrediting the economist? feeling a little pompous?
