  1. This is very hard at our school. First the LEA blocks sites before the internet even reaches the server. then the proxy server in school does even more filtering so its hard to open up a proxy inside a proxy. the highlight of my week was the blocking of google, to stop people searching.
  2. and humans are organsims visible to the naked eye, so that makes me right!
  3. so macroorganisms are basically insects, and humans are just organsims. serves me right for mixing words...
  4. Yesterday my brother was asking about what an organism is as he started to learn about microorganisms in school. He kept thinking an organism had to be tiny e.g microbes, so instead of describing humans as organisms i said macroorgansims. Just wondered if a macroorganisms is a real word or just me mixing words about? Thanks.
  5. they may not be used as much any more but at the prices now your not going to loose any sleep about them. personally i got a usb pen before christmas and it has never left my side. but that is my personal circumstances, it depends who you are and what type of storage you need. in school floppies and usb pens are the best because they only have floppy drives and usb ports on the computers, and if some computers had cd drives i certainly doubt they will be cd-rw's. using cd-r/w disks in my mind are a waste of time unless you want to store files permenantly or semi-perminantly. i just need something quick to drag and drop my files too after lessons, not waiting for minutes for a cd to burn.
