There are vaious sources to find conference and science events. However they are area and topic specific and you can't find all events at one place. Also they do not allow you to users to post events. I like a recently launched networking and sharing website for researchers and students, named Researchers Worldwide @ http://www.researchersworldwide.com This allow all its registered users to post all types of professional, national, local events.
