  1. does sound really pass through strings? my best example for this is the "telephone cans" which is made up of a string and 2 tin cans. children use it as a telephone, the cans act as their mic and speakers while the string connects the two cans.
  2. I wasn't specifying the color blue but let's just say that longer wavelengths for that matter. As for the signals, I am not a physics major so I am really not familiar with the term. But I was referring to signals transmitted by PDA's and the like. Wireless devices perhaps. Thanks and sorry for the ambiguous question!

  4. could you expound on this line from wikipedia? At high speeds, the input required to return the bike to upright only needs to be small; a much greater input is required to maintain balance at low speed. As such, it is easier to maintain balance at high speeds
  5. Does a balance occur when angular momentum is conserved? I'm still stuck with that bicycle question. I'm thinking that angular momentum might indeed be one of the answers to it.

    question guys, why does a bicycle remain standing when it is moving while if falls to either side when it's stationary? thanks! i just want to add a question here. where is the center of gravity of the bicycle?
