  1. Hi ya Spray paint wont work, it needs to be an ink , i am trying to create an alcohol base which will hold a pigment and be sprayable onto plastic, i cant really go much further than that as its something i am trying to make. Everything i can think to tell you is in my first message ,second question. thanks
  2. Hello. There are two things I am trying to do/ two questions I need answers to.I am very new to this so i need precise explanations if you can. 1) if i were to try and analyse a product for the alcohol bases used and quantities, would i be able to do this from home or would i need to send to somewhere to be professionally analysed? and if this is the case where would i send to? 2) If i am trying to make ink go further eg. dilute ink, so that it would stick to a plastic base, the alcohol used to dilute would then evaporate leaving the plastic, fume and fire hazard friendly and also the colour ink used would stick to the plastic, what alcohol base would i use? I have been told this can be done with an alcohol blend, and i have seen with my own eyes that this does work and can work, but how would i go about learning what to use? I have had a few different alcohols suggested to me, but not a blend, which is what I am looking for. After doing some research into an ink/pigment , I have found that ethanol, isopropanol, n-propanol, and Ionol CP is used, I have used isopropanol with ink and it dilutes it to the point of taking away some of the pigment, therefore if i want blue i would get a light blue instead, so i need this blend to hold the colour, be sprayable and evaporate quite quickly leaving the colour sticking to the plastic. I do hope someone can help me with this as i am very determined to get it right thanks so much
