it would pay to be more precise. the thesaurus shows up a wealth of differentiations. personally i have reacted over the years to the many meanings hidden inside our use of 'ritual', a word somewhat connected to 'myth'; and with plenty of different notions near-lying. much of the above speaks more about beliefs than about myths. we like to use impresicion, it removes responsibility. jon
