Unfortunately, only a win is gonna count in these races. And the mainstream has already done a good job of squelching Paul so far, so you won't hear much from him after this I'm afraid. They have had plenty of chances so far and look what they have done with it..... He is, after all, considered just another crazy aunt in the attic............. Re McCain: Maverick is my Senator and I have yet to cast a vote for him in his current capacity, so I would be hard pressed to vote for him to sleep in the big house. But, given a choice of the least of two (or 3) evils, I might......... But, I doubt that dog is gonna hunt either...........

You know, in the stone age, making calendars that extended to infinity (i.e., by banging rocks together, arranging boulders, or with charcol, or squashed berries, or by baking some clay) was kind of hard....... The calander in my watch doesn't go on forever either, and it has a powerful computer chip behind it, but I doubt that there is any cosmic significance behind where it does end...... So, maybe the Mayans just got tired of extrapolating the days into infinity with their somewhat limited implements. Or maybe they simply gave up at 2012 because they couldn't fathom trying to chisel any farther than that into the future.....

What a mess. My man Ron Paul is definitely not going to win Iowa nor the Republican ticket. As for the rest of 'em; I would probably prefer to have my fate decided by a game of Russian roulette using 5 bullets. There really might be a strong case here for "none of the above" on the ballot this year.

What the?? 1. A fetus or human embryo is not a parasite. 2. A fetus may in fact be a human or at the least it can be stated with confidence that it is a potential human being. 3. Equating killing unborn humans or terminating the existence of potential human beings with cows is ludacris. 4. An attempt to compare skydiving and an uncontrolled bodily function to abortion.....what the? 5. Abortion is justified because it relieves the pain of child birth.....huh???? 6. Human reproduction has nothing to do with authority and it is not slavery. It was not invented by "The Man" to keep any body down. If someone thinks so, me thinks that they need some lessons in history. I would think that the pro-abortionists (pro-choice, whatever,...) members of this forum could come up with better arguments that these...................

I never understood the use of the term "Savant". Savant means one who knows or scholary in French. It used to be that certain individuals, like The Rainman, were called "Idiot Savants" because they had certain traits associated with very high intelligence and other, perhaps less favorable, intellectual capacities or qualities....then that term became un-PC and the negative portion of the term was dropped. Perhaps rightly so, because it seems to be an unkind term............but, in a nutshell, I think the term "Savant" is confusing and technically incorrect......."Autistic Savant" is sometimes, but perhaps less frequently used, and it seems much more appropriate. Do you agree? Glider.....help............

Lockheed, Regarding your sister and mother, for what it (it being anything an annonymous poster like me on a science board might say) is worth, I'm really happy to hear that things worked out the way they apparently did.

Since mulling over this question for a while, I have concluded that I also doubt it (the intentionality of suicide) in most cases that involve humans. More like a really loud cry for help in many (but of course not all) cases. People that use a shotgun to blow the top of their heads off....those guys are serious...... OD on pills, maybe not so much.....

Yep. And water is the source of all life. Seven-tenths of this earth's surface is water. Why, do you realize that seventy percent of you is water? Do you realize that fluoridation is the most monstrously conceived and dangerous Communist plot we have ever had to face? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual, and certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works. I first became aware of it, during the physical act of love...Yes, a profound sense of fatigue, a feeling of emptiness followed. Luckily I-I was able to interpret these feelings correctly. Loss of essence. I can assure you it has not recurred. Women, er, women sense my power, and they seek the life essence. I do not avoid women,...but I do deny them my essence.

Do you realize that fluoridation is the most monstrously conceived and dangerous Communist plot we have ever had to face? Do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk, ice cream? Ice cream? Children's ice cream!...You know when fluoridation began?...1946. 1946. How does that coincide with your post-war Commie conspiracy, huh? It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual, and certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works. This whole Rudy/Hillary thing really continues to confuse me....... I don't see how being mayor of NYC when terrorists flew airplanes into the twin towers makes a person uniquely qualified to be president of the USA.....much like I don't see how sleeping in the Whitehouse for 8 years and 'being a strong woman who stood by her cheatin man' qualifies one for the presidency...... Someone, anyone.......please enlighten me...................

And yet by some miracle, your sister was actually born??? Why does this bleeding heart situation that almost never occurs, "....to save the life of the mother....", always seem to somehow make its way into abortion debates? Why don't we just admit it....pro or con, good or bad, right or wrong, moral or immoral, legal or illegal.......abortion is simply an act and/or procedure of CONVENIENCE for the "mother" and of POLITICAL UTILITY to the talking heads?

No on one and yes on two. Really? Dear Lord man.....why? Big fan of Scarface and/or the Sopranos; are ya?

Minerals do not contain nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon, nor oxygen. They are by definition inorganic. BTW: Have you ever seen a Commie drink a glass of water? -
Here is a penny for Buckaroo....but you owe me a dollar for throwing in the Beach Boys...... Quote: "-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lord John Whorfin: Barney, I'm going home... with my overthruster. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lord John Whorfin: Home... home is where you wear your hat... I feel so breakup, I wanna go home. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lord John Whorfin: [shouting into a radio microphone] BANZAI! I'LL-A SEE YOU IN-A HELL! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Casper Lindley: She can't be serious, can she? Vaporize the whole damn planet? Buckaroo Banzai: You wanna roll all those dice, Casper? Casper Lindley: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. Not me, man, not me. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [after crashing through the wall of a factory] Lectroid: We are not in the Eighth dimension, we are over New Jersey. Hope is not lost. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yoyodyne intercom announcement: The only joy is the joy of duty. Work... work... work. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scooter Lindley: [pointing an assault rifle at McKinley] Get away from that car or I'll drink your blood!" End Quote

Hmmm.....Now I wonder about all those stories I heard in my youth about dogs going under the porch, never to see daylight or eat again after a young man goes away to war............ What d'ya think? Truth or fabrication?
-
Really? I hadn't heard that. Yeah. Sure. Next you're gonna try and tell me that The Natl Geographic used a bunch of actors to stage a stone age tribe in the jungle.......no wait..... Update: Wow! http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/lemmings.asp

".....home is where you wear your hat............I feel so break up, I want to go home....." A penney for whomever correctly identifies where that quote came from....
